This is probably one of the best blessings for anything auto right now in Guwahati, where they took care of my mother's 12 year old Nissan Micra which had heavy damage thanks to rodents. The owner of this garage personally kept me in the loop regarding everything that was done with the vehicle, gave me an estimate of everything, got my front bumper refitted at my request with no extra charges and gave me a repair bill with proper part numbers which was a much better experience than what current employees at Binod Nissan provide. The service center now shall see nothing from me, I will be giving my business to them now. Fully recommended. Side note: the security guards need to be a bit more polite and that's about it.

I visited Autolab on 17/01/2026 for the servicing of my Hyundai Grand i10, and unfortunately my experience was very disappointing. There were far more cons than pros. Issues I Faced: 1.Delayed Start Despite Early Appointment: I was asked to arrive at 9:00 AM so the vehicle could be delivered early. I arrived at 9:20 AM, shortly after the workshop opened. Inspection began only at 9:30 AM, and no work was started until 2:00 PM, citing delay in parts delivery due to traffic caused by a PM visit. This excuse was repeatedly given, even though the parts were being brought on a bike. 2. Attempted Cheating on me: Once the work finally began, I noticed they were about to use Lumix engine oil without my consent. During job card preparation, I was given a choice between Lumix and Servo. Since Castrol was unavailable, I agreed to Servo and paid for it. If I hadn’t noticed in time, Lumix would have been used instead. 3. Further Delay in Procuring Approved Engine Oil: After this was pointed out, they took another one hour to arrange Castrol engine oil, again blaming traffic due to the PM visit. 4. Improper Brake Servicing Practices: While observing the brake service, I asked the technician whether the caliper pins had been greased. To my surprise, he said no, even though this is a basic and essential part of routine servicing. They reopened the brakes and applied grease, but used regular grease instead of proper caliper pin grease. 5. Excessive Service Time: The car was finally delivered at 3:30 PM, meaning the service took 6 hours (9:30 AM to 3:30 PM) — and this was without washing. I was only given a coupon for a later wash. 6. Questionable Traffic Excuses: On my way back, I took the same route that was blamed for heavy traffic throughout the day. To my surprise, traffic was very minimal and well managed by the police, even during peak hours when the PM was about to arrive. This made the repeated excuses even more questionable. 7. Concerning Feedback from Another Customer: I also spoke with another customer who had brought his VW Polo for repairs. He mentioned that he has been coming to this garage for the past 3 years, and his car breaks down every 3 months. Despite repeated assurances, the issue remains unresolved. The engine has reportedly been opened three times in three years, with no permanent fix. Conclusion: Overall, this was one of the worst service experiences I’ve had. Due to poor time management, lack of transparency, and questionable service practices, I would not recommend Autolab to anyone.
