Gauhati Medical College and Hospital

The hospital is GOVERNMENT SO THERE should be facilities for the people when the name is so big people comes from every region to get treated.. But oh my god the behavior of the staff .. They don't even follow most of the protocols .. And someone tries to te them there response is go to a private hospital.. The service quality is so poor when it is a government hospital the service should be greater than the private as it has more facilities, workers but nah ! So disappointing

Never and ever visit this hospital. The staff, nurse did not co operate with the patient. They did nothing in 28 days for my patient. They will let the patient die but they will not serious. I request my dear ones not to visit this hospital very very worse hospital I have visited. I heard that Assam gov. Had done good in medical sector but it's in social media only not in the field. I want Assam government to look into the matter. I don't want to give even on star also.

Official time is 24 hrs. But Dr. don't want to work after 1 PM especially ENT department. I went there just for medical certificate. But think about the patient who r suffering in pain & then they have to wait for next day. I don't think Guwahati is good in medical services & obviously if Guwahati is bad, you can doubt whole Assam. Some Dr were good. But you have to wait 2-3 days for the works which generally get completed in 1 day.

I would not even give one star for my overall experience here. The security staff and nurses showed extremely unprofessional and disrespectful behavior. They lack basic manners, courtesy, and the ability to treat patients with dignity. This is unacceptable in a place meant for care and healing. On the positive side, I must mention that the doctors are excellent - polite, well-disciplined, and professional. My request to the management: please provide proper training to your security staff, nurses, and other support staff on discipline, communication, and basic patient etiquette. Good medical treatment should be matched with respectful behavior from all staff members.

Guwahati medical college is one of best government medical Center in assam . All over state people came in this hospital. It settle in big place. In my experience I visited here few month ago I found better treatment here. You also find near pharmacy and hotel. BEST THING IS HERE FOODING AND LODDING FACILITIES IS ONLY 150 RS PER DAY FOR ATTENDENT.

Very Rude and Shameless Staff, they even don't care if your patience died. I rather suggest the admin simply shut down the entire Hospital or Kick out those Shameless Staff.

Worst worst hospital. - canula of the previous patient is left open in that small box like almirah ..I have attached photos here as well - doctors don't respond properly. - especially general ward doctors on duty - nurses aren't helpful -housekeeping baideo tends shout for no reason - hygiene level is not even zero.. it's a minus.. - no proper instructions is given by the staff. - laboratory and other examining depts are far better than them.

As expected being a government hospital it has a lot of patients movement. Administration needs to see for ways to attend patients efficiently other than this the hospital also provides free medicines for almost all the treatments, Free insulin injections for diabetes too. Cleanliness has improved in recent years.
