Visited this dhaba for the very first time. At first i underestimated the place but the moment I took the first bite my myth was busted. Food was delicious and location is accessible. I would love to visit this place again, it's a must visit for all the food lovers. It's way better than most of the fancy restaurants in Guwahati. The chef has magical hands. And the service was fast. In short jitni taareef karo kam hai.

We went there today during my visit at IIT guwahati…one of the finest Punjabi dhaba you can find in Amingao and near IIT guwahati. We ordered Paneer butter masala,Aloo paratha and Tandoori roti and chai. Paneer was delicious little bit sweet. Aloo paratha was average.Chai was also good. Service is little bit slow but ok according to location.Price of the itne were genuine.

Visited this place 2-3 times and must say the food there never disappoints. This one gives a vibe of a typical “Punjabi” roadside highway dhaba. Do not go there if you are looking for a fancy ambience or a cottage style dhaba place. But if you really want some delicious food/simple dinner keeping aside the ambience of that place, then you can go for it. Ordered: Rice, Aloo Fry, Butter Naan, Mutton Masala, Mutton Do Pyaza and Chicken Masala Taste: Just awesome. Those tender mutton pieces and pillowy soft Naan, also the steamed rice with hot gravy. Everything was just on point. Quantity: Appropriate Price: Reasonable Service: Fast and the staffs were also very nice Talking about hygiene, given the vibe of that place, I felt it to be decent atleast the times I visited there, but then this depends on person to person Overall, this dhaba can be a go to place if you went somewhere near highway or on a night drive and you want some delish food then definitely try visiting this place and enjoy dishes at a reasonable price.

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! Absolutely third class food. Ordered through Swiggy. The Dal Tadka was undercooked and overloaded with red chilly powder. It is the worst Dal Tadka that I have ever had. Matar Paneer had 5 small cubes of paneer. The rest was a gravy of green peas and extra heavy garam masala. They are misleading the customers by showing a picture of 3 Rotis on their Swiggy page. However, they send only one simple tawa roti for ₹25/-. Unlike other smaller outlets, they don't send any complimentary onion slices, lemon or green chillies along with the order. There are far better choices than this pathetic outlet for Punjabi food in Guwahati.

During this post-COVID reopening, they have very less of the attendants and that makes the waiting period really painful! During my last visit, I waited for an hour+. So, if you’re in a hurry, this is not the right place. Food is quite good! Lassi is a bit sour than what it should be!! Price is competitively moderate.

If you are driving through Amingaon or find yourself near the Narayana Hridayalaya area, do yourself a favor and make a pit stop at Ambersari Dhaba and Restaurant. I honestly wasn't expecting much when I pulled over—maybe just a quick, standard meal to fuel up—but I ended up discovering what might be one of the most authentic North Indian restaurants. The first thing that strikes you is that it doesn't feel like your typical gritty highway eatery. The vibe is casual but inviting, and the owner and staff bring a level of hospitality that feels genuinely welcoming. Now, let's talk about the food, because that is the real reason you come here. The kitchen absolutely nails the Punjabi flavor profile. I ordered the paneer butter masala, and it was exceptional—robust, spicy, and with that deep, rich flavor. It paired perfectly with their Tandoori Roti and Garlic Naan, which were fresh out of the tandoor. Another highlight was the Dal Tadka; it had that comforting, creamy texture without being overly heavy. If you are a fan of breads, their parathas are soft, fluffy, and generous, exactly how a dhaba paratha should be. However, to keep this review honest, there are a few things you should know. While the staff is friendly, the service can be a bit of a test of patience, especially during peak lunch or dinner hours. If you are in a rush, you might find the wait for your food frustrating. Overall, it offers value for money. It is a hearty, flavorful experience that prioritizes taste and warmth over speed. If you have the time to sit back and enjoy a meal, it’s a solid 4.5/5 experience.

Okeyish option. Tandoori roti was super super hard. Curries have a lot of oil and masala. Tandoori chicken is very orangy in colour.
