Delicacy Dhaba

I ordered food from this delicacy Dhaba online and look why you shouldn't order from this restaurant. I am sharing this photo so that you can skip from this scam before ordering from zomato or swiggy. The quantity is inappropriate. Now I know why the rating is poor. Beware guys. I open up the parcel and I see this.

A clean, decent and a beautifull place. The ambience is nice and breezy with good light effects. Also the architecture is made of bamboo and portrays the assam culture. This place is big enough for a crowd of approx 50 people. The staff is well dressed and polite. In starters I tried the honey chilli potato, crispy chilli baby corn; banana flower fry potato. These three dishes were awesome and very tasty, a must try. The banana flower potato fry was a authentic typical asami dish I tried for the first time and it was the star dish for the lunch. Again a must taste dish. The assam special veg thali was average. The dhaba has good free parking area and is just by the side of the highway. The food was good however the service was very slow. They have the sofisticated waiter calling device but it's of no use.

This is a great Assamese restaurant serving good ethnic local food. They also have a regular menu with North Indian food as well. However, it’s the Assamese Thalis that must be tried here. You get thalis comprising of dal, pitika, khaar, saak, dry sabji, gravy sabji. And with this, if you order fish or pork or mutton, then you get 2-3 items of that. The food is great but slowly deteriorating over time. Parking is available. Overall great experience.👍

Donot ever try this resturant...it's horrible...we ordered chilly chicken and garlic chicken and jeera rice ..believe me it is all same old fried chicken floating in the different dishes....jeera rice ..omg...it's a friend rice ....what happens to so called Delicacy name...it's worst day by day....if you donot believe please go mad check n give a try.....No good service..ask for normal water...but no idea where to get ....no atmosphere to really sit here...ac donot work they keep on running on fans....Food is last thing you cannot afford with the quality you are giving by Delicacy ......please try once if you have beleive by each word....

Food quality specifically of a thali which will cost you somewhere Rs 250 has gone down to road side food stall.. The thali includes normal Dal ,black lentil dal,khar, pumkin gravy and achar.Additionally they also serve kheer as sweet dish which taste more like starch rice with milk!!! I felt embarrassed observing tourist been stopping by this restaurant as they may take a wrong interpretation of Assamese food after having it tasted in Delicacy!!!! The ambience is clean and well maintained. The service is ok to an extent; you may have to wait for food or any other services due to shortage of staff or customer rush not sure ... Poor experience altogether!!

Our driver brought us here. Highly recommended if you want to try local food. I’ve been to a few Assamese restaurants. This is by far my favorite. The thali is really good. A good amount of variety of food with balanced, not overpowering seasoning. Although the dishes could be warmer. I found this problem with most restaurants here, they only serve lukewarm food.

Starter and main course were good but when asked for tea, was told tea was machine; when ordered, served teabag dipped in hot water. 🫡

Usually Dhaba type foods are not available but Nice ambeince located at 150 Metres opposite to ISBT Guwahati Nonveg & Veg items are available. Average taste quality of chicken's are not so much fresh, Price are higher compare to taste. Staff are good & well behaved. Hope quality food expected in future.
