If you are passing through Guwahati on NH 37 and need a spot with secure, spacious parking for a large group or family, Hemlata is an excellent choice. Go for the Smoked Chicken, and manage your expectations regarding service consistency. It offers good food, but the overall experience can be hit or miss depending on the day. Overall Rating: 3.5/5

Nice and spacious dining area, big dhaba with big parking, food quality was good. Food delivery could have been faster.

We had lunch at Hemalata Dhaba in Gotanagar, Guwahati. and tried Veg Thali🍱 for ₹200. The food was decent, but the price didn’t feel fully worth it. They only refill dal and rice. However, the place is spacious with a good environment. Overall, an average experience.

Food doesn't taste that great that used to be a decade back. I feel focus is mainly on serving special customers using cabins, as they will hardly ever order main course food.

One of worst Dhaba in that highway premises. Ordered Chicken tandoori -red masala was at is without cooked inside pieces, no taste at all. Ordered rice and local chicken, rice was very hard mostly cooked at day time and served at dinner. When complaint to service guy, what an attitude - their rice like that as usual. Ordered dal tadka- what the hell the taste was...worst worst Highly over priced for each menu items. Overall big zero in quality, sevice. Asking for tips directly by service guy for such worst quality food. I could rate big zero "0" but no option.

We have ordered chicken dry fry and mutton. Chicken dry fry was so pathetic smell like old stuff. And they serve mutton like stone smelly old meat . So thugbass Dhaba in history

The dhaba was exceptionally bad. The price of a veg thali was ₹250, which is significantly higher than the expected price of ₹100. The service was also very poor. After serving the thali, the staff were unwilling to provide refills for items, despite the common practice at other establishments of offering unlimited thali items. There was also a lack of staff available to assist with such requests.
