Pathetic experience. The food quality was very low, unhygienic, and completely tasteless. What they served rarely matched what we ordered. The chicken tasted like leftovers that had been reheated multiple times; it was bland and felt risky to eat. There was no consistency between a plain dal and a fried dal — arrived wrong and poorly prepared. Service was extremely poor, especially from a server named Samuel or something similar. The menu itself felt designed to overcharge and mislead customers. we ordered butter naan and received a plain, overburnt naan with blackened edges wrapped in paper; it was wet and cold inside. Overall this was an unforgettable, bitter experience for all the wrong reasons.they deserve rating if something lower than single star.

I had a very bad experience at your restaurant. The naan/roti served to us was completely burned and not edible. The overall food quality was extremely poor. Additionally, there was no proper hygiene maintained, which is very concerning for customers’ health. This experience was disappointing and unacceptable. I request you to look into this matter seriously and improve both food quality and hygiene standards.

Absolutely terrible experience at Shankar Dhaba. The waiter serving us was drunk during working hours, which is completely unacceptable. We were not served water when we placed the order, and even when the food arrived, there were no plates until we asked for them. We ordered butter naan, butter paneer, and mutton masala, but everything was cold and tasteless. At the time of billing, their system broke down, and they couldn’t even provide us a proper bill. The plates, spoons, and overall hygiene were extremely poor—everything was dirty. The entire place was filthy, with very bad service and staff behavior. This was honestly the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. I strongly recommend never visiting this dhaba.

Ordered malai kofta and veg jalfrazi.. this is the first time I had malai kofta which was made with coconut. They name it thai kofta. And the jalfrezi had only peas, cabbage and paneer... Where are the vegetables?!! And it was super oily. The American corn was good. And the quantity of rice is super!

Extremely disappointing experience. We ordered pork curry, but it was mixed with chicken. After we complained, the waiter took it back—however, what was served again was still incorrect and this time contained chicken and paneer. We raised the issue with the person at the cash counter, who claimed to be the manager. Instead of apologising or taking responsibility, he was rude, unapologetic, and completely dismissive, despite the mistake being clearly on their end. The food quality and taste were awful. Such careless handling of food is unacceptable. If a vegetarian customer had found chicken in their meal, it would have been a serious and distressing issue. When dishes are mixed up so casually in the name of chicken and pork, it raises serious doubts about what kind of meat is actually being served. Overall, a very unpleasant experience. Will never visit again.

Pathetic food in fact worst dinner in Guwahati.The Tandoori rotis are made of maida and burnt. Tandoori chicken also same, mix veg was worst. After all these very expensive for nothing. The ambience is okay, must avoid Shankar Dhaba
