The Dhaba, Zoo Road

sorry to say it was one of my fav spots grew up eating in the dhaba on weekends and absolutely loved it. i was craving it so bad, but am extremely disappointed with the food and the quality as well as quantity. the staff did bare minimum. overpriced to the max. a basic mediocre butter naan costing 85 rs per piece is crazy. the butter chicken masala was 4/10 at most. genuinely speaking i think i got duped as well with the portion. let me share a photo of the utensil where it was served. keep in mind, its a full plate of butter chicken masala that wasn’t even sufficient for two people who don’t even eat much. overpriced to the max.

I placed an order for Spicy Chicken Masala and specifically requested them to make it spicy. Unfortunately, these requests were completely ignored. The dish served was no different from a regular chicken masala - bland, lacking spice and flavor, and seemingly relying only on excessive food coloring and oil to create the appearance of spiciness. This was highly disappointing and did not meet the restaurant’s own description of the dish. This was my first experience with this restaurant, and regrettably, it will also be my last.

Decent place to grab lunch. The servers are nice but quite slow. The food is okayish. We ordered combo plates. The pulao was slightly overcooked. The noodles were good enough. Both the butter chicken and chilly chicken were decent. Much better dining places are available in the area but it is an affordable option.

After waiting for 45mims what kind of a biriyani is this, only 250ml oil and 300gram rice with chicken pieces. Not eatable at-all had to throw in dustbin. If your chef doesn’t know to make biriyani then hire a new chef or close your shop. I ordered this food for our Sir from zomato who is a very big person from media industry. He is very angry on me bcoz of your 3rd class food which i ordered from your restaurant. Your service has becoming worst day by day, your manager or the person who is attending call is very notorious & mannerless person, i called him to give complain but he is shouting at me saying he cant do anything though they have given hopeless food. He told me he cant replace or refund. Is this some-kind of a joke he should have at list apologised but no he misbehaved and just shouted on me and handover the call to chef. Your manager has made me more & more angry now. Now i ll take this very personally until and unless your manager or you call me and apologise. You ll get my number from your manager. Or else just wait soon we gonna teach you a good lesson, u think you gonna run a bloody fake restaurant like this with no proper hygiene food and a mannerless manager. Gonna show your kitchen in every media houses. Just wait & watch Zen Tastes pvt ltd you ll see what we can do.

Here is my breakdown of the review - ➡️ Food :- Paneer Tikka = Taste was good and paneer was sort, Fresh Lime Soda = Tasted fine. ➡️Service and Atmosphere :- AC was turned off initially and the atmosphere was hot , later they turned it on.

The worst food experience ever. We ordered butter naan and mutton kosha and it was a nightmare. The naan was hard, not freshly cooked and was soaked in some cheap oil not butter!! Then gave some shredded mutton pieces in the name of mutton kosha and the quantity is not even enough for a kid, forget that u will have half for 2 person. I had loose motions for 2 days after having that. Anyone who is thinking of visiting this restaurant, kindly safe yourself. 🙏

They are just ruining the name. We ordered tandoori chicken, butter naan, chicken butter masala and biriyani, I guess dhaba is meant for this items, but the food was so pale.. biriyani was totally disgusting, butter chicken naan was very nice, soft and buttery but on the other hand chicken butter masala was the worst I have ever tried. I am the one who has visited silpukhuri's the dhaba and I am fan of their butter chicken but they are just ruining the name. Very disappointed.
