THE GTAC TEA LOUNGE

This was my third time at GTAC lounge and we ordered the Kulhad chai. It was watery, over boiled and had too much tea leaves. When we told the waitress, she got the manager who was a lady. The manager gaslit us and told us that the tea is fine, according to her. She then explained to the waitress in front of us that “according to THEM, milk is less”. We came to this place because the last time we came here, the tea was amazing! But the service here is awful and I can understand sub-standard tea but not the gaslighting.

It took about 45 minutes to get the sample flight and small pot we ordered. The whole time a light was making a buzzing sound. When we finally got it the tea was AMAZING. We asked our waiter which of the many rwas they have for sale were the one we drank and he could not tell us. He also couldn't say which one was similar to what we'd had... Or make any useful recommendation at all. Won't go back but also won't forget how good that cup of tea was. Two stars.

Good destination for hangout. The ambience is excellent. Its like heaven for tea-lovers. One can also purchase a variety of authentic Assam tea here. There is good collection of organic tea leaves. Good service and helpful staff

Nice place to wait if you have a meeting at Assam Secretariat. Cool teas are better than hot beverages. Peach and lemon tea were very refreshing in the humid climate of Guwahati. Service is excellent. Very clean and well maintained premises.

Must visit when in Guwahati. Try the mint tea on a hot day. Lots of options to buy also. Colonial setting and a good place to cool down and have a quiet time.

This is the best place to drink tea. You will get lost with the offerings. Visit with relaxed time in hand with your most loving people to drink authentic tea. Must visit place for all tea lovers.

We had Peach Ice Tea and Warm Tea both were really Good. Don't miss out of their Chicken Chaap n Chicken Cutlet if you prefer Non Vegetarian food option.That is too yumm n goes well along as High Tea option. Only thing I feel it they should have some Tasting sample for the Tea Packs they sell. As there are too many options to buy from but as a new buyer it is difficult to pick ; staff is also not aware about flavor profile to provide guidance.
