One of the best sweets shop at GS Road Guwahati. Mostly they used desi ghee products. You will snacks and fruit juice too. Must try Jalebi and Paw Bhaji here.

Visited Govindam on 31st January 2026 and ordered imarti, raj kachori, jalebi, and tea. I was a big fan of their jalebi and imarti, but after visiting again after two years, the quality and taste were not the same. The food felt below expectations and somewhat deteriorated. Really disappointed this time.

Located at the middle of the city. A must visit place for the people who loves sweets and chats. Vegetarians can eat their every food item. Prices are a bit high. If you don't care about hygiene then for chats I would suggest to try some other places for affordable prices.

I've tried chole bhature, roasted rasgulla and gazar ka halwa. The price of each is rs145, rs60 and rs85 accordingly. But the taste is average. I only like the roasted rasgulla. I felt the price didn't justify the taste.

Quality and service have drastically downgraded. There is no proper hygiene, and the staff are extremely rude and never listen to customers. The packaging and packing materials are also very poor. Their attitude feels very cheap and unprofessional. And yes, they never serve samosas and kachoris hot — they’re always cold and hard 😉
