It is one of the best dept. Of GMCH. Doctors are very responsible and behave well with the patients. They listen carefully and give medication after consulting among themselves. Nuro doctors are basically better in treatment. The premise is air conditioned and neat and clean.

GMCH is a large hospital with many departments and qualified doctors. I had a good experience with one lady neurologist — she treated my father with care, took time to observe his condition properly, and did a detailed check-up. It’s clear that some doctors here are doing their best. But unfortunately, the overall hospital experience was not satisfactory during a medical emergency. My father had suffered multiple strokes and was in a serious condition — he was half-paralyzed, unable to speak or walk. Even after a referral to the CNC center by a senior GMCH doctor, when we brought him to the emergency, the staff refused to admit him as a serious case. They just asked us to go to the OPD, which made no sense given his condition. To make things worse, they told us that the MRI machine was not working — or at least we would have to wait a long time to get it done. This kind of delay is not acceptable in such serious cases. In the end, we had to shift him to a private hospital because we couldn't afford to lose time. This is the sad reality of many government hospitals: while they have good doctors and big facilities, the system is overcrowded and poorly managed, especially in emergency care. Serious patients often do not get the urgent attention they need. There’s a lot of potential here, but unless the patient load is managed properly and basic systems like MRI and emergency triage are improved, people will continue to suffer.
