It's an amazing experience to get in touch of such a wonderful initiative taken by a young gentleman to promote and preserve cultural root of Northeast India. Glad to purchase and being introduced to such site.

A delightful gem in the heart of Guwahati! This traditional Northeast shop beautifully showcases the rich culture and craftsmanship of the region. From handwoven textiles and bamboo crafts to unique spices and herbal products, everything feels authentic and thoughtfully curated. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, making the shopping experience even more special. A must-visit for anyone wanting to take home a piece of Northeast India!

Good collection of traditional wears from all over the northeast, especially mekhela chadars from different tribes of Assam. Pure handloom made attires are also available, all at reasonable price. The mekhela chadar worn here is pure tussar silk with beautifully crafted traditional design

The hospitality and friendliness at this shop are truly out of this world! The staff was incredibly patient while we took our time exploring and trying on different mekhela chadors. Each piece is genuinely worth the price, the quality and craftsmanship speak for themselves. What stood out most was how thoroughly they explained the details and stories behind each fabric, helping us understand the richness of the textiles. If you're in Guwahati, I highly recommend adding this shop to your itinerary. It's the perfect place to shop for local, handmade clothes and fabrics, ideal for gifting or bringing home something special for your loved ones.

With only an hour to spare for shopping in Guwahati, a group of friends looking for authentic souvenirs to carry home went in search of Traditional Northeast based on a web search, and we were in for a treat! Aesthetically set up, this small store is a treasure house for handlooms and crafts of the Northeastern states. Since it was Bihu season, there was just 1 staff member who joyfully answered our questions, displayed the wares, and even created an opportunity for a photo shoot with us modelling the most gorgeous of handwoven stoles,shawls,mekala-chador, and jewellery! Only the dragon of Time had us hurrying out after spending a delightful hour and a little more with bags full. Suffice to say that it was memorable and time and money very well spent 😀 Special mention to be made about Pallabi who was bombarded by 6 women and 2 men all wanting her attention and service, and she managed it with great aplomb and a smile.
