I’ve been to this church twice, and every time I visit, I feel an indescribable peace. Last Christmas, I couldn’t attend because we reached a bit late and the doors were already closed. Yesterday, I went again around 7–7:30 pm, but it was closed too — and honestly, it made me really sad because I’ve always wanted to go inside, sit quietly, and pray.This church is truly one of the oldest and most beautiful in Northeast India, standing right in the heart of Guwahati. Even from the outside, it gives you a sense of calmness and divine serenity — a kind of peace that touches your soul.I come from a Catholic school background, so Jesus and Christianity have always held a special place in my heart. It’s my little wish that someday I get to sit inside this holy place, pray, and feel His presence closely. Truly a place that gives peace to the mind and purity to the heart. 🤍

CNI Christ Church in Guwahati, established in 1844, it is one of the oldest churches in Northeastern India. The church has a rich history, having been rebuilt twice due to significant earthquakes in 1856 and 1897. The current structure was completed in 1901. Located in Panbazar, the church offers a beautiful view of Nehru Park and is a popular tourist destination in Guwahati. In 2017, the church underwent restoration and was rededicated by Rt. Rev. The present structure was built in 1901. It is just next to the Nehru Park and opposite Cotton College. Peaceful and serene!

It is located near neheru park Guwahati it is a peaceful place I visited this place many times but only on Christmas Day so i dont have any idea about it's openings and closing times days n all.

Really good Place to worship.Its a Church situated near Nehru Park.Its greenary nearby.Christmas celebration is very beautiful here in this Church.Nearby to this place is Cotton University. There are alot of stalls infront of this Church where you can find tasty but not at all hygenic fast food and snacks. The Church is renovated recently and its very beautiful from inside as well as outside.The Church is verY well maintained and is neat and clean. Christmas lighting was also good and beautiful.
