Tried the coffee cheesecake here and it was really good—rich, smooth, and well balanced without being overly sweet. The café itself is beautifully designed, with a cozy and aesthetic interior that feels calm and inviting. What really stands out is the outdoor area—the gardening outside the café is lovely and very well maintained, adding to the overall charm of the place. It’s a great spot to sit back, enjoy desserts and coffee, take photos, or spend some quiet time. The ambience, presentation, and vibe make Piquant a place you’d want to revisit. Definitely one of the nicer cafés around for both food and atmosphere. ☕🌿

The food was extremely poor. The photos looked appealing, but the chicken dish had a strong smell, as if the chicken was 2–3 days old. The cheese balls were made only of bread—there was no cheese at all. The interior looks good, but the food quality is terrible. I do not recommend this place. It was a complete waste of money. Their menu is expensive, but the food quality does not justify the price. If I am paying more, I deserve good-quality food, not stale items. I am very disappointed. They focus only on showcasing their interior as if they serve great food, but in reality, it is the opposite. The pictures look good, but the actual food is awful and not worth it at all. My suggestion is that instead of running a café, they should open a library. Guys Just ignore this café. 🤢🤢🤮🥴🤮🤢🥴🥴🤮

I went to the cafe, the interior was so damn good. But the food was shitty as hell. They have a modern menu with modern names but has zero sense how to cook food. The chef is maybe underpaid or a noob to cook such worse food. Sorry for harsh word but you should not keep open a cafe if you can't maintain the dignity of food. The chicken was undercooked, the cheeseballs had no cheese at all. I had a terrible experience here. They took a decade to bring the food to table. Starter was served with main course, I mean come on it's starter dude. The location was not properly showing on map we had to contact them. The prices are too high according to the food quality. I'm a foodblogger and I will never recommend anyone this place for food, but yes it's good for pictures. Kindly change your cook, change your recipe. I had vomiting like feeling while having the baked potato and onion, yuckk!

Piquant Cafe offers a warm, homely vibe with a spacious garden that creates a relaxing atmosphere. The sandwiches and milk tea are quite good, though they took a bit longer to prepare, something they explained was because everything is made fresh. Despite the wait, the friendly service and cozy ambiance make it a nice spot to unwind and enjoy a good meal.

Food - 4.0/5 I had ordered a Peanut Banana Shake and a Pancake. It was good but I have a complain regarding the paper straw provided with Shake. It gets soggy easily and make it difficult to enjoy the shake. Pancake was decent but would prefer a better form of maple or honey syrup. Service - 3.8/5 Very quiet and they respect space needed by customers to have a quiet discussion. We had used the outside seating which was really nice. Atmosphere - 4.2/5 Aesthetically pleasing decoration and clean washroom. Very well decorated and clean outdoor seating. Would prefer a more premium table. Chair was ergonomically good. Overall experience - 4.1/5 Almost everything was perfect. But, locating this cafe can be a headache in bustling crowded roads of Ganeshguri. The entry point is barely noticeable and I had to go far and make a detour and come back again to location.

Food - Ordered Gyoza and Potato Jackets which were amazing. The gyoza turned out to be just like momo so was a bit disappointed lol but the taste was great. They had different sauce to accomodate all. Ordered peach tea and mojito which was mediocre. Service - service was slow and can be improved. Atmosphere - they have two seating space, one outdoor and one indoor. We were seated outside but as the evening progressed the mosquitos forced us inside. There were few books and drawings inside.

True to its name, ‘Piquant’ is a tastefully curated property in the heart of the city, next to the Ganeshguri main road. The owners live in the same premise and hence the property is clean, well maintained & hygienic. There’s also a cute and aesthetic cafe corner on the ground floor. Expect cute instaworthy scenes amidst green flowers & creepers. The menu is not your usual Assamese variety of cuisine, you can enjoy a refreshing American breakfast and an exotic range of daily special desserts. It appears to be a passion project, so while the prices are a little high compared to Assam standards and income levels, it is designed to cater to a specific audience and the prices totally justify the service, food quality etc. The place is suitable for stays of families, people on work trips & quiet/decent adult couples who are not here to drink or party. You gotta be above 23 to stay here! Gates close at 10:30 so not suitable for the party crowd but if it’s a comfortable stay with all amenities like AC, clean towels, linen, electric kettle etc that you seek, then ‘Piquant’ is the place for you. Being right in the middle of the city is its biggest perk for travellers.
