Dr. Deepanava Jyoti Das - ENT Specialist / ENT doctor / ENT in Guwahati

Very good doctor. Responds to all queries and seems knowledgeable too. I had visited for tonsillitis and he is very responsive and doesn't encourage unnecessary medications.

Doctor is decent, though his approach doesn't suit me well; as there was an ear wax blocking my left ear drum due to which there was hearing loss and discomfort. It could have been removed the same day but I was told to wait for another week as I was told the wax was non-invasive & harmless. I never had a running nose but was prescribed a medicine for running nose. In 2 days, my discomfort worsened and the hearing on the left side deteriorated. I called and I was told to wait till evening for appointment. As the discomfort was very much, I took the alternate rout to find a nearby ENT doctor. I visited a nearby clinic called "Omega ENT clnic" and the doc there fixed the problem in a matter of 15 mins. I was also told by this doc that if my ear was flushed later rather than sooner, it could have become serious. Long story short, young doctors these days have become very reliant on technology, overcautious and apprehensive about finding the root cause of the problem. For patients, this is not cost-freindly and in this case, I have to spend 2 times the amount unnecessarily. There is no animosity and biasedness here and I hope this will be taken as positive feedback and change can happen in the future. As for the clinic, I've to wait in a long line and I've to wait much longer than others and people seem to keep jumoing the line to meet the doctor. The attendants too seem to comply and after waiting for more than hour, I've to remind the attendant to check on my file and then only, I was called in. Pretty much a bad experience overall. I hope this can be taken as a constructive & positive feedback and change the clinic's protocol for good.

Okay I'll share my opinion here. Once you have entered the chamber/diagnosis room, you'll meet a young humble person. His personality would resemble someone you are familiar with. Most of the doctors (not all) maintains sophisticated attitude that includes responding by nodding and uttering words as less as possible (Mm, Yes, No, Ok). In short Dr Deepanava is a humble doctor who won't prescribe unnecessary tests. He also encourages minimal allopathic medicine, I'm very much impressed. Best wishes Dr. Deepanava

I visited him several times . He is a professional doctor , well behaved and understands the patience . Unlike other doctors he will not recommend various tests . He will only recommend a test if its required , it not only saves the harassment of the patience but also the money required to do such unnecessary tests . I recommend him over all .
