I had a deeply disappointing experience with Dr. Seemanta Kumar Medhi at Apollo Hospital. Apart from the standard medical bill, he seemed excessively focused on extracting additional fees. On one occasion, he charged my friend an extra Rs. 1000 without providing any receipt or official report. Instead, he just sent a picture to my mobile, which felt highly unprofessional and questionable. Additionally, the doctor tended to engage in excessive and irrelevant conversation, which detracted from the professional atmosphere one would expect from a medical consultation. It was disheartening to feel more like a transaction than a patient under his care. This behavior does not align with the professionalism and empathy one expects from a healthcare provider.

Yesterday i met up with him. In order to meet him i paid Rs. 300/- at the counter and he charges me Rs.2000/- in his room and takes that money without giving us any receipt. I dont know whether this is the procedure if not, i wish everyone to avoid him. We are not business material but we are human being

My mother had been experiencing discomfort in her ear, and we had made an appointment with Dr. Medhi, a well-regarded ENT specialist. Our initial visit had left us with a positive impression of his professionalism and bedside manner. Dr. Medi had taken the time to carefully examine my mother, addressing all her concerns and explaining the diagnosis and recommended treatment in a clear and empathetic manner. However, during our second visit, when we were already inside the Dr's cabin, A man, stormed into his cabin and began screaming that he needed to be seen immediately because he had a tight schedule. This impulsive outburst shocked me, not just because of its rudeness but also because of its complete disregard for other patients who were also awaiting their appointments. I couldn't help but wonder about the effect of such behavior on Dr. Medhi's state of mind. While it's understandable that people have busy schedules and may be anxious about their health, it's essential to remember that doctors have their hands full, juggling appointments and prioritizing cases based on medical need. Making demands, especially in such an aggressive and inconsiderate manner, is not only unhelpful but can negatively impact the quality of care provided. A little empathy and decorum can go a long way in ensuring a better experience for everyone involved in the healthcare process.

Please think 100 times before visiting. He is very much unprofessional and proudy. He is very much arrogant in his behaviour. Do not have any sense how to deal with patients. He takes patients as scapegoat by giving unnecessary diagnostic test. He Keeps patient waiting, and suddenly come to his chamber and insult the patient by saying that he/she doesn't have any sense alongwith some unuttering language. He gives unnecessary medicine to show his talent.
