We went there yesterday (26th Feb) with my wife and my cousin around evening and stayed till about 8:30 PM. What we liked: The ambiance is genuinely nice. It has that old-school, calm vibe with classic rock playing softly in the background. The place feels like somewhere you can sit, slow down and talk without being rushed. It reminded me of old Assamese bungalows, which I really appreciated. The tea was really good and the food was decent. Nothing mind-blowing, but no complaints either. What felt off: The two guys at the counter just didn’t seem to care that we were there. They weren’t rude and the service itself was fine, but there was zero warmth. I smiled multiple times while ordering and while trying to get their attention, but there was no eye contact and no response back. It felt very mechanical, like they were just doing a task rather than hosting guests. For a first visit, that leaves an odd impression. Maybe it was an off day, I don’t know, but basic acknowledgement goes a long way in hospitality. At the end of the day, repeat customers are what keep a place running. Would I return? Yes, for the tea and the peaceful vibe. That part was genuinely nice. It was an easy 5 star if we felt more warmth in the hospitality but sorry, not possible this time. Maybe in the future I can update that with my future visits.

Visited the Old town cafe in Motilal Nehru Road. The decor is super charming: bamboo furniture, wooden seats, chequered floors, and all those little vintage touches that make you want to linger. Gives you a proper vintage Assam vibe. Away from the chaos of the city Tried the super popular CHICKEN KEEMA MASALA WITH BUNS and it was yum. Had affogato and mojito and those were good too. There's a peaceful balcony too, perfect for sitting with a coffee and watching the evening crowd slowly move around Pan Bazaar. Highly recommend if you're craving something real and unpretentious in Guwahati. Must visit

Old Town Cafe is a lovely spot to unwind! The calm environment is super refreshing, perfect for a chill day out. The menu's really reasonable, with some tasty options. One thing's missing though - desserts! 😅 Hoping they add some sweet treats soon. The coffee, on the other hand, was top-notch! Service was nice too. Would definitely visit again, can't wait to try more from their menu. Highly recommend giving it a shot!

We tried out some Google Review recommendations and ordered the Bun Chicken Keema Masala, Cheesy Loaded Fries, Spaghetti with Meatballs, Affogato, and a Latte. Everything was delicious, but the standout dish was definitely the Bun Chicken Keema Masala.

I've been to many cafes which lack quality and quantity in accordance to their price but this was an exception. Felt like a breath of fresh air amongst these pretentious cafes. Great ambiance, good service and delicious food. Felt like a steal deal honestly, I wouldn't mind paying more. Definitely coming back here.

I recently visited Old Town Cafe located in Pan Bazar, Guwahati, as a Visitor to city and I had an amazing experience there. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the beautiful and warm ambience. The cafe is nicely decorated with a cozy and comfortable setup that makes you want to sit and relax for hours. The lighting, furniture, and overall look of the place create a very welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for meeting friends, studying, or just enjoying some quiet time alone. Now, talking about the food and drinks — everything I tried was absolutely delicious! The items on the menu have a very authentic taste, which shows how much care and effort they put into preparing the food. The coffee was rich and flavorful, and the snacks and meals were fresh and full of real, natural flavors. I could tell that they use good quality ingredients. Each bite was enjoyable, and I especially loved how the traditional tastes were kept alive in every dish. The service at Old Town Cafe was also very good. The staff members were polite, friendly, and always ready to help. They made sure I was comfortable and that I had everything I needed during my visit. This kind of attention makes a big difference and added to my positive experience. Old Town Cafe in Pan Bazar is a wonderful place for anyone who loves good food, authentic tastes, and a great atmosphere. Whether you want to enjoy a tasty coffee, a quick snack, or a full meal, this cafe will not disappoint you. I am already looking forward to my next visit and would happily recommend this place to anyone in Guwahati who wants to enjoy a lovely cafe experience.

My all time favourite café. They don't have a lot of items on the menu but everything is delish and affordable. Would highly recommend the cheesy loaded fries and veg burger. The atmosphere is relaxed and one can spend hours here with friends or work.

This cafe is truly a gem. It is located right in the heart of the city ,ideal for anyone visiting Fancy Bazaar or nearby areas. The cafe has a very cozy and warm vibe ,with the interiors ,and the bamboo furniture reminiscent of classic Assam home decor. The food is great too ,I would highly recommend the spaghetti meatballs. And we also had alfredo pasta and fries which were quite good as well. Additionally, the staff is very polite and attentive ,and I really loved the service.
