Well the location is awesome 👍 Big space and cleaner than gmch But most of the staff are like gawars Especially in reception counter and few securities they think it's their father property They don't know how to behave with people Also lacks knowledge about new updated system But doctors are very down to earth And helpful Need more improvement To be really northeast hub for medical services

AIIMS Guwahati, located at Changsari in Assam, is one of the premier medical institutes established under the “Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana.” Since its inauguration in 2023, it has become a center of excellence in healthcare, medical education, and research for the northeastern region of India. The campus is beautifully designed, equipped with modern infrastructure, and spread over a large green area that provides a peaceful environment for patients, students, and staff. The hospital offers advanced medical facilities, including emergency care, specialized departments, and state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment. Patients from across Assam and neighboring states like Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, and Nag

It's very Good being a govt hospital. Great Doctor's services (ENT),affordable price, very clean. But the pharmacists need to speed up, long queue plus too slow ,just for buying one tablet we have to stand and wait in queue for like 40-50 min. There are like 7 counters but hardly only 2 are being open and sometimes only 1. And it get more annoying when u have to stand n wait for like 1hrs just for them to say it's not available. Other than that it's all good ,the hospital is crowded, but that's the sign of being good .

AIIMS Guwahati truly stands out as a commendable institution, providing top-notch medical care and facilities in the Northeast region. My experience there has been overwhelmingly positive, and I highly recommend it to anyone seeking quality healthcare. The doctors and medical staff are incredibly professional, knowledgeable, and compassionate. They take the time to listen to patients, explain diagnoses clearly, and ensure all concerns are addressed. The level of dedication and care shown by everyone, from the nurses to the specialists, is truly impressive. A Healing Environment What truly enhances the experience here is the beautiful and well-maintained environment. The campus is a delight, with flowers everywhere and excellent gardening that creates a very soothing atmosphere. It's so pleasant that many visitors not only receive treatment but also happily take photos, enjoying the peaceful surroundings. This focus on a positive environment undoubtedly aids in the healing process. The facilities at AIIMS Guwahati are state-of-the-art, equipped with modern technology and maintained to a very high standard of cleanliness and hygiene. Navigating the large campus is also incredibly convenient. Electric rickshaws are available frequently and are completely free, making the journey from the main gate to the hospital hassle-free. Plus, there's ample parking available, so you don't have to worry about finding a parking spot. Overall, AIIMS Guwahati is a testament to excellent healthcare. It's a valuable asset to the region, providing much-needed specialized services in an environment where patients feel safe, well-cared for, and even a little uplifted by the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended!

Best doctors are here, they are polite and positive. The security personnel's are very helpful. At least you won't be "Looted" here just for the sake of generating revenue unlike some other hospitals.

Infrastructure is world class, just like any other well known private hospital and doctors are really well educated and experienced. But facilities are far from good. Basic medicines are not available in the pharmacy had to go outside, the OT of radiology department had a broken Biplane DSA machine, which cost my patient's life.

I want to share my personal experience at the Neurology Department in AIIMS, because honestly, it turned into one of the most stressful and heartbreaking days for me and my sister. When we visited, the doctor we met behaved in a way that felt extremely rude and unprofessional to us. Instead of guiding us with patience, he spoke harshly and even said that if we brought reports from any other doctor, he would just send us back. Hearing something like that when you’re already stressed about health issues is extremely painful. I actually ended up crying later because I felt completely helpless and humiliated. What made everything worse was the attitude of some of the other employees standing there. Instead of supporting the patient, it felt like they were supporting the rude behaviour. Many people who come to AIIMS are not familiar with online systems, apps, or complicated procedures. Some come from villages or faraway districts, some don’t understand English, some don’t know how to use the hospital’s digital platforms. And instead of helping them, some staff speak rudely, show irritation, or treat them like they’re wasting time. This is not just my experience — many people who visit large government hospitals often mention similar struggles, like: – long queues with no proper guidance – staff who get irritated when patients ask questions – people who don’t know technology being scolded or ignored – patients running from one counter to another without clear instructions – attendants being shouted at for small mistakes – senior citizens not getting proper assistance – patients being told to “figure it out yourself” – lack of basic politeness or empathy – rushed consultations where patients don’t get a chance to explain their condition – staff behaving as if patients are a burden These issues are not about one person — they are problems many people talk about in big hospitals where crowds are huge and patience is low. In our case, what hurt the most was something the doctor said: “Go and report if you want, nothing will happen.” Hearing that broke my trust completely. It made me feel like patients don’t matter and complaints won’t be taken seriously. A hospital like AIIMS is a place where people come with hope, fear, pain, and expectations. People travel hundreds of kilometers, spend their savings, wait for hours, and stand in lines just to be treated with respect. But when patients face rude behaviour, lack of guidance, and no empathy, it destroys their mental strength. I am sharing all this only as my personal experience, along with common issues people usually face in big government hospitals. I truly hope the system improves. Patients deserve respect, patience, kindness, and clear communication — especially those who struggle with technology or come from humble backgrounds. No one should feel insulted or helpless when they are already suffering because of illness
