Honestly speaking, their treatment might be good, but it’s too expensive for normal people. They charge ₹800 just for one visit, and even their medicines are very costly. A common person can’t afford such high expenses. I’ve seen many poor families visiting here with hope, but they have to leave worried because of the cost. Please, Gastrocity Guwahati, try to reduce your visiting, treatment, and medicine charges. Good healthcare should be for everyone, not only for the rich. 💔

I am a final-year MBBS student, and I recently accompanied my sister for a consultation with Dr. Sobur Uddin Ahmed, Gastroenterologist. The doctor was unaware of my medical background at the time of the visit. I am extremely disappointed by the manner in which the consultation was conducted. Without taking a proper medical history, without allowing the patient to fully explain her complaints, and without establishing any doctor–patient rapport, Dr. Ahmed abruptly began prescribing a series of diagnostic tests. Many of these investigations were completely irrelevant to the patient’s presenting symptoms and lacked clinical justification. His approach appeared to be purely business-minded, aimed at earning money and promoting his own clinic rather than focusing on the patient’s welfare. This conduct reflects a disturbing lack of professionalism, empathy, and ethical responsibility expected from a medical practitioner. Such practices not only exploit patients financially but also damage the credibility of the medical profession. It is unacceptable for a doctor to prioritize personal profit over scientific reasoning and compassionate care. I therefore urge the concerned authorities to take this matter seriously and initiate appropriate action to ensure that patient care remains ethical, rational, and centered on genuine medical need.

Cost is very high and treatment I didnot find effective

Pros: - Doctor himself performs endoscopy and colonoscopy - Doctor hears to patient and found him friendly - Maintains cleanliness Cons: - Recommends unnecessary tests for profitability - Test prices are high Note: You cannot visit Gastrocity if you're tight on the budget. Please recommend tests to patients which are utmost necessary.
