India Club ( ইন্ডিয়া ক্লাব )

This premier club of Guwahati is well known for its tennis courts. Other amusement facilities like swimming pool, gym, card room, billiards, children playing room, etc are also available. There is also a restaurant, a bar and provisions for hosting events. Attended a party held at the 4th floor hall. Found it to be spacious with pleasant interiors. The party turned out to be great with good food and hospitality.

One of the oldest club in town. Property is well maintained with very polite staffs. It has three tennis courts and one standard outdoor swimming pool. It has all the basic facilities and one can enjoy overnight stay here.

Hosted a birthday party for my kid at the club. Services catered food was good and staff do a decent job and well located . A good vibe and ambience.

It was a 3 day stay here. Quite a decent accommodation. Nothing too great. Food against orders. Quite bad for that- the taste. Don’t feel to recommend .

Established during the British Raj in 1933, India Club perhaps is one of the oldest clubs in Guwahati City of Assam. Located on the R.G.B Road, near the Reserve Bank of India, this 75 year old club has always been a useful meeting place for the trend setters in the social and cultural life of northeastern India.

Good place to stay and play a lot of sports! Have heard tons about the food here, but it failed to please my taste buds. I just had breakfast though! Traditional puri sabjee and tea. Did not really enjoy the gobi ki sabjee much. Also the tea got bitter due to over boiling. Anyway, the satff treated us cordially and ran errands quickly. Rooms were spacious and cosy. The club has a standard size, outdoor swimming pool and three tennis courts. Winters had me unable to use the pool. Not really a tennis enthusiast for myself, so did not bother to try. The courts were well maintained though. Pleasant stay. Do consider staying here while in the city!

It is one of the best clubs in Assam. And the clay courts are really very good. Always love playing here 👍
