My recent experience with Dr. Pranjal Deka was extremely disappointing. When I took my mother to consult him, we had to wait for 3-4 hours before he even saw her, despite the fact that gastroenterology patients often arrive early in the morning without having eaten or drunk anything. My mother was in such severe pain that she had to lie down on a bench while waiting. As a patient attendant, we expect empathy, clear communication and basic courtesy from a medical professional. Unfortunately my experience was the opposite.I found Dr. Pranjal Deka to be unusually rude and unwilling to listen properly. His approach felt dismissive and at times it seemed as though he was pressuring us toward surgery without giving us confidence about safety or alternatives. This experience left us feeling unheard and unsafe. Based on what we went through, I would strongly advise others to exercise caution and consider consulting a more patient-focused and empathetic doctor. In my personal experience, Dr. Pranjal Deka appeared more driven by ego and financial considerations than patient care. I would strongly advise others to be cautious and not rely on him for treatment.

Our experience with Dr. Deepti Jindal and Dr. Pranjal Deka (both husband and wife) was nothing short of a nightmare. They diagnosed my mother with a 99% likelihood of cancer, delivering this devastating news with unwarranted certainty and barely any explanation. The emotional toll this caused on my family was immense—panic, fear, and sleepless nights consumed us. To make matters worse, the biopsy sample taken in Guwahati came back negative. Aware that false negatives are possible, we immediately sought a second opinion at Max Hospital, Saket, New Delhi. There, senior specialists from the Oncology and Gastroenterology departments thoroughly reviewed my mother’s case. They conducted sigmoidoscopy and dismissed the cancer diagnosis outright. What my mother actually had was a benign polyp classified as Paris 1s JNET 2A—worlds apart from the dire, baseless diagnosis of cancer given by Dr. Jindal and Dr. Deka. To say the doctors at Max Hospital, Saket, New Delhi were shocked would be an understatement. They were appalled by the gross misdiagnosis and even openly mocked the incompetence of Dr. Deka, some of whom were familiar with him. This level of professional ridicule speaks volumes about the lack of credibility and diagnostic rigor exhibited by this duo. What’s most concerning is not just the error itself but the overconfidence and negligence with which such a life-altering, traumatic diagnosis was delivered. It’s reckless, dangerous, and unacceptable. The psychological damage inflicted on patients and their families by such carelessness is immeasurable. I strongly urge anyone considering consulting Dr. Jindal or Dr. Deka to think twice—or better yet, avoid them altogether. Their actions not only undermine trust in the medical profession in Assam but also make the entire doctor community there look unprofessional and irresponsible. Seek a second opinion, and don’t take their words at face value. This experience has been a painful lesson, but I hope it serves as a warning to others

I had a highly disappointing experience with Dr. Pranjal Deka a few months ago regarding my hypertrophic scar problem. Firstly, he didn't conduct a thorough examination. Instead, he quickly suggested surgery and an MRI without fully understanding my condition. When I asked if the surgery would prevent the scar tissue from reappearing, he couldn’t provide any assurance. If I’m expected to spend 20-30k on a surgery, I would expect some level of certainty regarding the outcome. Additionally, he prescribed a single tablet that had no impact on my problem, and he didn’t offer any proper medication or alternatives. I strongly recommend avoiding this doctor.
