Assam Legislative Assembly

We had the privilege to visit Assam legislative assembly in 2018 when we were the students of pandu college. The office stuffs were very co-operative and very disciplined. We had witnessed debate and also interactive session with then CM of Assam Mr. Sarbananda Sonowal. He told us to dream big and work hard to fullfill our dreams. The security aspect was tigh. We had free lunch also. Thank you.

On 15th March,2023 I visited Assam Legislative Assembly for the first time. It was the budget session of 2023. I was sitting at the audience gallery and enjoyed the session for whole day. After lunch I have met Hon'ble Speaker Sir. My friends of AASC was also with me. It was an unique experience for me.

Newly Inaugurated Assam Legislative Assembly buliding. Premium finish in every part of the building

The new Assam legislative assembly is the new state-of-the-art assembly of the Government of Assam. It took 14 years to complete after the foundation was laid in 2009 and finally a beautiful complex was completed. It looks magnificent and beautiful. Although a lot of money has been spent on its construction, I hope that it does the justice with the aspirations of the people of Assam.

The newly constructed building of Assam Legislative Assembly has been inaugurated today on 30/07/2023 by Om Birla,Hon'ble Speaker,Los Sabha,India in the presence of Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, hon'ble CM, Assam, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and other dignitaries.

Our new Assam legislative assembly recently unveiled on 30th July 2003. In 2009 the construction work had started and after 14 years the mission got completed.The estimated cost of the assembly was around 235 crores.Huge amount of money was spent and hope it does justice to rhe expenditure and help in my State's development.

The Assam Legislative Assembly is the unicameral legislature of the Indian state of Assam. It is housed in Dispur, the capital of Assam, geographically situated in present Western Assam region. The Legislative Assembly comprises 126 Members of Legislative Assembly, directly elected from single-seat constituencies.
