Assam Secretariat

The Assam Secretariat Complex has been renamed as 'Janata Bhawan' by the state government vide a notification in 2017 The Assam State Secretariat Complex was christened as 'Janata Bhawan' by then Congress chief minister Sarat Chandra Sinha until a permanent multi-storey, modern Secretariat complex was constructed in the adjacent area. The new seat of administrative power was inaugurated on November 22, 2004 by then Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh who represented Assam in the Rajya Sabha

Beautiful Place. Well maintained n Good Environment..

The office is spread over a big area and have a pretty good structures and ambience. But, I think the maintenance work should be done more often to keep the office look upto the mark. The picture below just shows a part of the office.

The head office of all the departments of the Government of Assam is located here. It requires a general pass to enter the campus. There is ample parking space on the office campus. It is important to note that passes are not issued at the entrance on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Nice spot, but no maintenance. Has high potential to be a tourist attraction. A mere boating facility can add so much more.

Amazing park in the middle of the Guwahati city. Easily accessible from the traffic, and one can visit nearby shopping areas after a promnede in the evening.

It is small park with a pond in it. It is good for morning walkers. There you can do some workout as people do exercise with dumb bells. There is a small Gym started by Bubul da (Bahubali).
