Antares homestay

BEWARE: The caretaker is a creep. Not safe for women. He even stole our packet of milk kept in the fridge. Imagine the desperation. It’s an absolutely dirty homestay with the kitchen needing a thorough deep cleaning. It has the potential to be a great accommodation given its location. The owner seemed decent to talk to over the phone. Hoping they sort out these issues.

The photos shown on the "Make My Trips" booking app looked very attractive and impressive. However, in reality, it was quite the opposite—like a haunted house, completely unoccupied from the ground to the second floor. Only 3rd floors were operational, but they were incredibly foul-smelling. There were large, overflowing dustbins in the kitchen with waste everywhere, no drinking water available, no lift, and dim lighting with only a few insufficient bulbs. The furniture was old and unhygienic. The caretaker lived on the same floor, which felt unsafe for women. Overall, it was a fake setup. So, I don’t even hold for an hour a shifted to other Homestay. The house owner spoke in a rough manner when I explained the situation, and her tone was unacceptable. I strongly advise against visiting.

We had the worst experience at Antares retreat, the gate closes by 11/12 and when we call the caretaker to open the gate sometimes while we are going out she won’t pick up the call we had to literally go down to her room and keep on knocking untill she responds. So many things have happened there. Such a worst experience if you’re planning to stay there pls don’t! There are lot of nice guests house/airbnb in Guwahati. Never plan your stay here they are so unprofessional. We had such a worst experience out there more like a nightmare.

Experience was pathetic. Me and my partner travelled from Meghalaya and we were tired from the journey so we booked this based on the reviews. when you enter the room there is a huge board stating loud music is not allowed after 10 pm where as me and my partner could hear loud music from the hall till 1 pm. when i tried to call the receptionist no one answered and in the morning receptionist was acting like nothing happened. Host should practice what they preach. Terrible experience would not recommend to anyone

Beautiful rooms but very costly.. at makemytrip the cost was 1100 but the host refused to book saying they don't accept bookings from mmt although booking was open there.. I called the owner and he told me 1500 but upon reaching there he said 2000 .. after negotiating I had to pay 1700 as i was in urgent need and had no time to explore. Overall the rooms are clean like home, but management specially booking deserves only 1 star.

I had such a comfortable stay! The rooms were clean, cozy, and beautifully maintained. & The host was really sweet, always checking in to make sure we had everything we needed. Their warmth and hospitality truly made us feel at home.

I had an amazing five-day stay at Antares Homestay, and the experience was nothing short of perfect. The highlight of my visit was the exceptional hospitality provided by the caretakers, who made me feel completely at home. Their warmth, attentiveness, and genuine care added a personal touch that elevated the entire stay. If you’re looking for a homestay where comfort meets heartfelt service, Antares homestay is absolutely worth it. I would gladly return for another memorable experience!

Their rooms are good but the caretaker is non cooperative , he will refuse to clean your room and will refuse to give you breakfast etc. I had planned my stay for a week but had to abort due to poor service. Since I had opted to leave early due to poor service the owner charged me a hefty amount for 2days and charged separately for breakfast , initially he agreed for a comparatively lesser amount . It would have been better if you improved your services rather than extorting extra money from your guests . Completely Pissed Off
