This is not a homestay at all — it’s an abandoned flat with dirty rooms and unhygienic toilets. 1. Toilets and washbasins were filthy. 2. Fans had no regulators. 3. Bed sheets, blankets, and pillow covers were covered in fungus. 4. The hosts were unwelcoming. 5. Worst of all, we were locked inside the compound early in the morning, despite repeatedly informing them that we needed to leave by 4 AM.
