Joyable Homestay

I booked this homestay even after reading negative reviews, but I’m genuinely glad I trusted my instinct. We were 6 people, and the owner made sure we felt comfortable from the moment we arrived. Clean rooms, 24×7 water, fast Wi-Fi, and most importantly, a peaceful, home-like feeling. It didn’t feel like a business stay — it felt like someone opened their home to us. Thank you for the care and effort. We left with good memories.

Unjoyable Homestay - AVOID THIS PLACE! ( Before reading my review see the other one Star review, as a owner he should acknowledge the things people didn't like about his business but rather he blames on the customer and comments sarcastically 🚫) I had the misfortune of staying at Joyable Homestay (what an irony!) in Kundil Nagar, Guwahati, for 2 nights. The room was ridiculously small, and the bathroom was even worse - it was unbelievably cramped! The western toilet was literally touching my knees, and the sink was placed in a way that made it difficult to even stand comfortably. The lack of space made it feel like I was using a public toilet, not a private bathroom in a homestay. To add to the misery, there was an electricity outage, and only 2 lights were working in the room. No inverter connection for charging phones? Unbelievable!🚫 I have to charge my laptop phones in a restaurant after that We checked out at 11 am on the morning of 17th Feb and went out to explore Guwahati city to pass our time. Before leaving, we asked the housekeeper's permission to leave our 2 trolley bags, and he kindly agreed. We returned at 6:40 pm to collect our bags and politely asked the owner if we could wait in the waiting room until 7:30 pm, as our bus was scheduled to depart at 8:00 pm and we had no other place to wait with our luggage. But the owner flatly refused, threw us out of his homestay, and demanded ₹1000 to let us wait in the waiting hall for just 30 minutes! Is this how you treat customers who have already stayed with you for 2 days? ₹1000 for waiting in the waiting room for HALF AN HOUR. This is not a joke. This is not a reasonable request. This is extortionate The only thing I liked was the balcony area was beautiful and calm✅ and the site for the property easily accessible ✅and the behaviour of the worker the one with french cut beard don't know his name ✅otherwise everything was horrible The housekeeper was polite, but the owner? Absolutely appalling! His greed and arrogance are staggering. This homestay is not worth your money or time.If you value your dignity and your hard-earned money, stay far, far away from Joyable Homestay Don't know how people are giving 5 ⭐ Even after climbing to 3rd floor with no lift to carry their trolleys _Ratings:_ 1/5 (and that's being generous) _Advice:_ Look elsewhere for a decent place to stay in Guwahati. This one's a definite no-go Please have some Humanity

Service was good but owner's behaviour was not up to the mark too uss...

Our stay at this homestay was extremely disappointing. The cleanliness was subpar, particularly the toilets, which were dirty and unpleasant. The owner was rude and unhelpful, which made the experience even worse. To top it off, the lighting in the rooms was terrible—very dim and uncomfortable. It was not at all what we expected, and we will not be returning or recommending this place to others.

This Homestay has all that the visitor/s to Guwahati requires. Located at a walkable distance of about 300 metres off Basistha Chariali, all amenities, facilities and shops, are readily accessible. The Owner, who retired from the Tea Industry, has decorated and maintained the property in a very attractive manner. The Staff are very attentive and polite, and treat their guests very politely. The rooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily. Complimentary Jio Air wi-fi access is provided. The food which is prepared in-house and fresh, is tasty, with little or no spice or oil. There is provision for separate kitchen, should you require this facility. There is a proposal to install a lift in the near future. My rating is 4.5 stars.

The bathroom wasnt in good shape. The AC was dripping water inside the bathroom. The shower barely works. The linens are very old but were fresh from laundry. The mats are very unhygienic. They need to refurbish the room.

a 04 story residential property with its upper 02 flours having 6/7 rooms with decorated terrace & a small dining room & wifi facility is an excellent economical place to stay (@Rs1500 to 2k in Jun 2024) for those looking for quiet & homely stay . Being little away from main Guwahati city center but near to Megha Plaza & with auto services nearby its an excellent & safe place with home food cooked on demand.

JUST WASTED MY MONEY BY STAYING HERE !!! Guys dont just see good rating, see the bad one’s too, to see the real reality of the stay. Rating : rooms 3.5/5 Service : i wish i had a option to keep 0/5 Location: a big 0/5 I dont how there are so many rating, i wish i could also give the same rating. Didnt even get to give it 5 rating. Had talked about some amount got to live for even high amount. Very disappointed. If you are going to roam around guwahati i will not recommened this property, the gate keeper was very rude and even the property is very far from the main city attractions. Keep that in mind. Food & room service : before booking had a talk about breakfast and lunch/ dinner they said they will serve for some amount. When reached and asked about the food the gate keeper said here there is no food service.
