We halted in this properly for just a night but loved the ambience and feel of our rooms as well as the stay. It looked as good in the night as it did in the early morning… the views and sound of steam is just wow!! The Homestay owner is a very kind and bold lady. She spoke to us so warmly and also offered a few hair clips for my daughter lovingly! She is very accommodative and tried to somehow arrange for breakfast early just for us by asking staff to come early the next morning, however we had to leave for Guwahati airport by 7-7:30am hence did not bother then for breakfast at all. However it’s the best stay in shergaon and one must try staying here and feel the beauty of it.

Redberry River View Heritage Homestay, Shergaon, truly felt less like a place we stayed and more like a place we belonged to 🤍 From the moment we arrived, we were wrapped in warmth, thanks to the host aunty (sitting in the heart of the picture), whose sweet smile, welcoming nature, and motherly care made us feel instantly at home. She has that rare presence that turns strangers into family. The staff, too, were incredibly polite, gentle, and always ready to help, adding to the homely comfort of the stay. Our three days here passed like a beautiful pause from the world, slow, peaceful, and deeply comforting. Nestled by the riverside, the homestay offers a serene setting where mornings begin with the sound of flowing water and misty views. One of the most special parts was cooking our own meals in the morning, soaking in the fresh air and stunning scenery, it felt grounding and joyful in the simplest way. Redberry isn’t just a homestay; it’s a feeling of home away from home, set amidst the quiet beauty of Shergaon, Arunachal Pradesh. If you’re looking for warmth, authenticity, and heartfelt hospitality, this place is an absolute gem. Highly, highly recommended. 🎀💝

The host aunty and the entire staff are incredibly sweet, welcoming, and make you feel like part of the family from the moment you arrive. The homestay blends heritage charm with cozy living, and the peaceful river view adds a calming magic to the experience. Waking up to the sound of the river and spending quiet moments soaking in nature is simply unforgettable. A special mention goes to Aunty’s homemade wine, absolutely delightful! Enjoying it while sitting by the river makes the experience even more special and authentic. A place you’ll want to return to again and again. 🍷🌿

It's a beautiful property, maintained by wonderful people, surrounded by pristine nature. The rhythm of the river flowing and the poise of the tall mountain have married into something heavenly, words won't do justice to the raw beauty that the place offers. The owners have built this extremely gorgeous homestay and honored the nature simultaneously. The rooms are fantastic, a bit better than what you would usually find in a remote village like Shergaon. The food is awesome and the people maintaining the property and owning the service are awesome as well. As a bonus, got to meet two jovial pups during my stay here.

First of all a 5 star rating to the homestay. Rooms were cosy, clean and wore a traditional look. There were ample amenities in the rooms. Food prepared by the owner and her hosts were super yummy and delicious. Vegetables were cooked straight from their garden. There were seasonal fruits and vegetables trees in the garden. The flowing rivulet near the property added to the beauty of the surroundings. There was a bonfire 🔥 spot for guests. The owner was very courteous to the guests.

We (2 friends) stayed at the this homestay for 2 nights. Place is neat, clean and location is nice alongside a stream. The rooms we stayed in was big and well maintained. The owners are very good people. We were served nice and delicious home cooked dinner, both vegeterian and non veg (chicken). The only suggestion is probably adding 1-2 more dishes for breakfast apart from bread and omlette. Thank you to the owners for their hospitality.

I stayed at this homestay during the same time as the people who posted the above review, and I feel it’s important to share the truth. Their behaviour was completely disruptive and inappropriate for a peaceful place like Shergaon. Because of their hooliganism and loud activities, other guests—including us—were forced to stay awake late into the night. Despite this, the homestay owners and staff were extremely cooperative and handled the situation patiently. The negative review has been posted only because the guests were charged for a bonfire, which is a paid service and was clearly communicated. It is unfair to blame the homestay for enforcing basic rules and charges. Shergaon is a calm and beautiful destination, and such behaviour does not belong here. I am also attaching photos for reference to support this statement.

We enjoyed our stay at this Homestay. The team lead by aunty was hospitable and homely , food simple and tasty. Ambience simplistic and extremely peaceful, they’ll do all they can in their capacity to make you feel at home. Also my wife got a companion , Julie we named her. The little one was with us throughout our stay , as it was peak winter we made her sleep with us inside our room . It was something we enjoy as animal lovers …god bless and good luck to the entire team
