Extremely Disappointing Experience I rarely write reviews, but this experience compelled me to share my honest feedback so that other guests can make an informed decision. 1. Early Check-in Miscommunication & Overcharging My check-in was scheduled for 25th January (2 rooms). On 24th evening, I called the hotel and clearly informed them that I would arrive early morning on the 25th and would need at least one room to freshen up. I was informed that an early check-in charge of ₹500 would apply. However, upon arrival, the staff demanded ₹1000, stating that no room would be provided otherwise. This sudden change felt unfair and exploitative. 2. Pathetic & Unhygienic Early Check-in Room The room provided for early check-in was in an extremely poor and unhygienic condition. It was clearly already used by someone else and not cleaned at all. When I requested housekeeping, the receptionist bluntly said that cleaning would only be possible after 9:00 AM and that we had to adjust. This is unacceptable for any paying guest. Photos are attached for reference. 3. Same Condition for Second Room After 12 PM After the standard check-in time (12 PM), we expected to receive a clean room for the second booking. Unfortunately, the condition was no different—again unhygienic and poorly maintained. This shows a complete lack of basic housekeeping standards. 4. Extremely Delayed Dinner Service We ordered dinner at 10:20 PM, but it was served at 12:15 AM, almost two hours later. Despite repeated calls to the reception, we kept receiving the same response: “Only 2 minutes… only 5 minutes.” To make matters worse, outside food was not allowed, leaving us with no option but to wait hungry. This level of service is truly pathetic. Overall Experience From misleading charges to unhygienic rooms and extremely poor service, this stay was deeply disappointing. The hotel lacks professionalism, transparency, cleanliness, and basic hospitality ethics. I would strongly not recommend this hotel to anyone unless serious improvements are made in management and service quality.

Hotel is about 5 km away from the railway and bus station in a residential locality. The hotel staff was unprofessional and uncooperative. In complementary breakfast, they only had purees and sabzi and with the sabzi they gave only 3 purees. They did not even have a chair in a room. They did not give any soap for bathing. In the bathroom, the shower was broken and the cover of the toilet seat was also broken. They did not have an exhaust fan in the kitchen due to which smoke entered the room corridors.

As we spoke yesterday night for the room availability and hot water availability and we told we are checking in early, these people said yes there are rooms please come. Once we reach the location they are charging extra money and no hot water, room is like worse, and the staff behaviour is also bad and so arrogant and he is like if you don’t pay extra 500rs we will not give room, we came to visit just temple as early as possible because we have flight in the noon, because of this person who wanted make more money by giving worst room. My first worst experience in Guwahati. I trusted and came to same Anurag hotel even though our cab driver told he will get a good room near kamakya temple. Please don’t visit this Anurag residency kala pahar, they are not here to serve tourists, instead they want to charge more money by provide bad rooms. This is the honest review writing by standing infront of the hotel.

The hotel is budget friendly, and staff is nice and polite. But i didn't have a good experience booking with oyo because when I reached the hotel, they said that the prepaid price (the discounted price that i got while booking on Oyo) is too less and demanded 1000 rs more. I had to wait on reception and raise this to Oyo support, and even after that i had to pay some extra amount in the end. The only other option i was left with, was to cancel the booking and look for some other Oyo which was senseless considering i was coming from the airport completely tired.

Very bad experience... ROOMS WERE VERY DIRTY, dirty bedsheets, pillows.. bathroom was not cleaned properly.. toiletries were not provided before checkin the room. very unhygienic..they don't have lift facility to go at the 4th floor..we booked the terrace rooms but the very next day we were told to shift to another room..The new room was even more dirty.. foul smell was coming from the room.. smells of cigarettes, spots on bedsheets.. not recommended for families..

Worst hotel ever, don't come to this hotel....this is not a hotel exactly but a house turned oyo and one of the worst hotels.I booked from fab hotels they took my money and gave one of the worst facilities. So don't come to this hotel and don't book from fab hotels

The prices in website is shown 800,but they charge me 1200, despite my request, everything is fine but it's not trustworthy when it comes to price in website and in reception 😭😭

After long and Stressedfull journey with my family some how we manage to reach hotel at midnight. We welcome by arrogent hotel employee. our 4 days before booked FAB rooms was alloted to someone else. Employee HAMID ask us to share room with lot of Cokroges & lizards or there is no light blub in bathrom. else he said find some other hotel. With lot of complaint and argument with management somehow they manage our booking. But there we faced lot of maintenance issue. Ac was working by its own wish. Gizer was not working, flash and bathroom drainage was blocked. Overall nice photography & marketing done by advertising company.
