Food is decent, view and vibe is great. I went there with my husband and spent the entire day, enjoyed a lot amidst nature. It's a pretty good escape from the rush of the city. Feels like a complete new world after entering.

The atmosphere is good and beautiful but the service is pretty much slow like the starter food took like 1 and half hours and the main course took like an hour and there is a swimming pool in the resort but it was kinda dirty and that's all I wanted to say.

A retreat to Aranya The Merion Resort… Just an hour from the city, yet worlds away... Walk barefoot on dew-laced lawns at dawn, with greenery and bird song all around. The day unfolds over good food, quiet ambience, polite and caring service; the evening melts into serene sunset and a quiet night. For city-weary souls, it feels like an oasis.

ordered veg fried rice, chicken manchurian, corn fry, and a watermelon drink. Veg Fried Rice: Average taste, nothing special. Chicken Manchurian: Honestly the worst I’ve ever had. The chicken tasted completely frozen and had an unpleasant smell. I informed the staff at the counter immediately. He checked with the kitchen and returned saying they don’t use frozen chicken. I asked him to taste it, but he said he is vegetarian. Another staff member checked and simply said, “jo bana hai woh bana hai (what’s cooked is cooked), please order something else”. We replaced it with Paneer Manchurian, but even that was extremely chewy. Corn Fry & Watermelon Drink: These were good. The resort complex and ambience are very nice, and I wish I could say the same about the food. There is good potential here, but the kitchen really needs improvement in quality and freshness.

This was my second visit to Aranya, and it just keeps getting better. That’s the reason I came back. The calm, the natural setting, and the way the place is maintained really stand out. It feels familiar yet refreshing every time. The staff remember you and make you feel genuinely welcome, which makes a big difference. Great food, peaceful surroundings, and such a nice break from city life. Highly recommended if you want a reliable, relaxing escape near Guwahati.

Visited Aranya for the first time and honestly didn’t expect it to be this peaceful so close to the city. The property is beautiful, surrounded by greenery, and feels like a proper escape from daily chaos. The cottages are clean, well designed, and the overall vibe is very calming. Staff were polite and helpful, and the food was really good too. Perfect place for a short getaway or even a relaxed evening. Will definitely plan another visit soon.

This resort is a true gem. The ambience is elegant, serene and beautifully curated to perfection. From the architecture to the interiors and the landscape design — every detail elevates the entire experience. It’s a gorgeous destination where you can relax, disconnect and enjoy comfort with style. Worth every moment spent here. The property is extremely well maintained and the swimming pool is crystal clean. It’s the perfect place for a peaceful getaway to relax, unwind and just enjoy every moment. Highly recommended!

Food is good and tasty but overpriced, as if it's a five star hotel ! They charge 10% service charge too. Cocktail menu is worst, they will inform you after sometime that some ingredients are not available for the ordered cocktail. Finally you will have to order the only one available, that too probably not prepared by a bartender and cannot at all be said a cocktail. Rooms and cottages are costly. Ambience is good and can be a destination sometimes. But not a value for money destination.
