Had the good fortune of having the Grand Get Together of our Assam Engineering College on 10th January 2026 at the picturesque Brahmaputra Jungle Resort, Sonapur. Around 70 of us batchmates gathered together at this venue on the morning of D Day and had the time of our lives. We left everything regarding the organization at the hands of our friend and classmate Tridib Sarma, the owner of BJR. It was a perfectly organized event right from the set up, decoration, sound system and food. The platter for morning tea, high tea, lunch was delicious to say the least. The service was excellent. All of us will had a gala time and made memories to be cherished for ever. A few of us opted for night stay and I was glad I did. Enjoyed chatting with friends by the campfire and dinner by the side of the pond. The room was large and comfortable and had a good night's sleep. Got up the next morning feeling fresh and rejuvinated. Went down for a brief walk with my friends and had a nice breakfast. Left the place with fond memories with a wish to visit again. My heartfelt thanks to Tridib, his son Migam and all the staff for a memorable experience.

I visited here in September on official business. I stayed for three nights, and overall, my experience was excellent. The rooms were nice and clean and well-maintained. Whenever we needed anything extra, the housekeeping team responded promptly. My room was located on top of a mountain, with a beautiful view. However, I was exhausted by the stairs that required climbing.|The most important thing was that the staff was courteous, attentive, and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. I arrived at 11:30 pm, but with the help of the manager, my check-in was smooth and hassle-free, and the reception staff was always ready to provide us with directions and local tips. Even at this late hour, they arranged dinner for us and arranged a cab for pickup and drop-off.|Speaking of food, the breakfast menu was good, with a variety of options, although the menu was slightly modified after our request. The restaurant staff was also very nice, checking in frequently to make sure everything was alright.|The manager was also very nice. He was very supportive when our team member fell ill, even accompanying us to the hospital. Therefore, I would like to extend a special thanks to the manager.|One minor drawback I mentioned to the manager was the Wi-Fi speed. It worked, but not consistently, making it a bit difficult to work.|I also visited Tea Garden, a short distance away, which was very beautiful. The local market is just a 10-minute walk away, and it's a great place to sample street food.|I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay and warm hospitality. Some improvements could make it even better, so be sure to leave your feedback after visiting. But it's already a great option for you.

The location, rooms, and overall atmosphere of this place are great. It’s especially ideal for families with kids. However, if you’re not comfortable around children, this might not be the best choice for you. We stayed for one night and had a relaxing experience overall. I would have given it 4 stars, but unfortunately, the food served at the hotel restaurant was disappointing. While it was edible, the quality and taste did not meet expectations. Overall, a pleasant stay with room for improvement in the dining experience.

Went there for dinner. One of the oldest resort in Sonapur but now the structure feels tired with poor maintenance. The food options are limited and when the others around you have improved so much on the local and foreign cuisines their dishes lacked the authenticity. One thing which I also notice was the lack of serving persons. Their professionalism needs to be improved. Everytime an order is placed the waiter insisted to hurry up as the Chef stays far and has to leave early. We placed the order for the staters at 8.40 pm and even before they arrived we were forced to place the order for main course before 9.20 pm. The funny thing is that one of the starters (Fish Tikka) arrived along with the main course. 😅 Would not be interested for a 2nd visit especially with new resorts and restaurants coming up. They really need to up the professionalism and the food quality in order to survive the competition. Otherwise, the day isn’t far when it might fade owing to the lack of interest.

Went to the resort on 19th Jan 26. With my friends and their family. First to say that the administration must take care of the approach having stiff grade. The road surface should be smoother in high grade road. Regarding the foods served, it is very less standard. Quality is equivalent to road side small hotel. I will not recommend any one to go for lunch with family. But the ambience of the resort is good. Not satisfied with the service and the meals that served. It is pity having such a good robust name of the resort, the owner is not interested to the food items and it's quality.

A beautiful resort on the outskirts of the city, exuding rustic charm right from the entrance. The thoughtfully planned layout blends seamlessly with the natural surroundings. Our executive room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The food and service were excellent throughout our stay. The morning jungle trek with a friendly guide was refreshing, and feeding the elephant, Champa, was a truly special and unforgettable experience.

Been there after a decade, everything has changed, its more beautiful now. More buildings, good staff. Its the service and hospitality that matters, people whom i met were definitely great beings... Made my short stay a happy 1... Rooms are great moderate to classy, food is awesome as it was before. Activities are good too though need some improvements on activity and sports.
