Chang's Resort & Restaurant

I recently visited the resort for a birthday party, and it was exactly how I pictured it. The location is peaceful, tucked away from the hustle of the city, yet easy to find. The surroundings were spotless, spacious, and had a wonderful, cozy atmosphere. I especially loved the sit-out with the indoor dining area just next to it. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable. The food at their on-site restaurant was delicious, with both local specialties and familiar favorites. There is a lovely playground for children and other activities. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to relax and recharge.

Why 2 stars? Honestly, I wanted to give 1 star. But for the location and the design of the resort, which is nice, I added one more star. Two of us visited Chang's Resort for lunch. Upon reaching the gate, the security guard asked us why we were coming to the resort. Why? Why do people come to a resort or restaurant? Lol. After we said we came for lunch, he allowed us inside. At the restaurant, we were greeted well by an Assamese waiter. After we sat near the pond outside, a girl from Nagaland came to take our order. We asked for simple food like pork boil, Ari fish Assamese-style tenga curry, aloo pitika (Assamese-style mashed potato), and plain rice. She said none of these were available. Everything had masala, and everything was North Indian style. Then I asked if they had simple pork fry. She said there was nothing simple available in the restaurant. The pork fry also had marinated masala (whatever that means). I thought for a second and went inside the restaurant to enquire. There was probably a South Indian manager. When I again asked about the simple food we were looking for, he didn’t understand anything. He kept checking the computer screen to figure out the meaning of "boiled pork" and "mashed potato" (aloo pitika). Then this Assamese guy came to the rescue, and when I asked about the simple food again, he said they had all the dishes available - pork with bamboo shoot (without masala), Ari fish with tomato and potato (Assamese curry style), mashed potato, and plain rice. I ordered the food. Now we had to wait over 50 minutes for the food to arrive. We were hungry and desperately waiting. In fact, I ordered a glass of lemon water, which took almost 25 minutes to reach our table. Now, the food - the pork with bamboo shoot was simply terrible. The Ari fish curry was full of masala. In fact, we found only a thick layer of masala and nothing Assamese about it. Both dishes were terrible. They also provided a bowl of mashed potato enough for one person, along with one bowl of plain rice. After we were done, I went to the counter to pay, and the bill came to Rs 1550. Keeping everything else aside, the aloo pitika was Rs 348 with tax. I don't mind paying for a good meal, but this experience was really, really terrible. The manager said they don't know how to make pork with bamboo shoot. Then why did the Assamese guy suggest that dish to us? Why did he say the fish curry was Assamese style? In Assam, traditionally, we don’t use garam masala in curries. Never going back to this restaurant again.

We had a great experience at this resort. The staff are so well behaved and the place are quite neat and clean. I definitely recommend this resort if anyone willing to visit this resort than definitely visit it once. Worthy as well as there were quite some activities which we could play during evening.

Worst restaurant, As location and the look is nice , the chang resort management took the advantage by duping the customers with high price but quality of foods and services are worst.We have organised a meet today , the menager bad behave with invitees as complained about makeing wait for a long time to supply of some food items , also worst food preparation. Overall poor. Not to visit this restaurant in future

Please dont come here. They are not bothered about customer. They took 1 hour to collect order for food. Their staff are not professional. Spoiled our mood. Pathetic service

Worst restaurant ever, minus marks for hospitality or service. If you love your time and money kindly do not visit this place ever

The resort is very nice. Food is delicious. Zezovonuo Kense service is very good and very helpful. Location of the property is amazing.

Food top notch. The manager who sits there one lady she is tamil or south Indian maybe I don't know maybe she has an attitude problem l. She is just not my cup of tea to deal with
