Hill Mynah Bamboo Resort in Chanaka

We visited the property as a group of 13 people for outing. Breakfast was satisfactory; hot puris were served and the other breakfast items were decent. Later, we were taken to the tent area, which was charged at ₹2500 and included a tent along with two plastic tables and plastic chairs. Starters were served there, though the taste was quite basic. Lunch, however, was extremely disappointing. The quality of food was very poor, simple dishes like rice and dal were badly prepared. The mixed vegetable dish appeared old and had an unpleasant smell. The fish curry, aloo bhaji, chicken, and jeera rice were all bland and lacked taste. The only item that stood out positively was the brinjal fry, which was far better than the rest of the dishes. Even the gulab jamun was of poor quality. On a positive note, the serving staff were polite and well-mannered. Unfortunately, due to the poor food quality, all 13 of us were dissatisfied, and a significant amount of food went to waste. Regretfully, we would not consider visiting this place again.

It's good for a day trip with family and friends. Can easily spend quality time here enjoying the scenic beauty of mighty river Brahmaputra, with Rocks and hills surrounding the resort. The twin rocks is just at a walkable distance from this resort. The bye lane road leading towards the resort is not much in good condition and requires work to be done, will suggest to avoid during rainy season. Food was good but didn't like the quantity. In matar paneer ony 4-5 small pieces of paneer was there, on asking the staff replied "as it is matar paneer so matar is in more quantity". Rest you can imagine. Kids playing ground is there, along with other activities on the opposite side of the resort. Can surely have a visit. No parking charges.

The worst service till now. We a group of 6 people went there few days ago. Half of their dishes were not available. at around 2.05 pm we ordered American corn and as tandoori was not available we ordered Drums of heaven. At 2.45 pm they served coke and Corn. Surprisingly no plates were available for us. We asked for plates and spoons they gave us small disposable plates. At around 3 pm they said that they can't prepare Drums of heaven. All of were hungry now imagine what we can do. We left the place in search of other places to eat. Think before you go, Not recommended at all.

Good rooms,good food with scenic beauty. In front of the resort there is Brahmaputra beach which looks very adorable during sunsets. Environment is also very pleasant.

Good place, they managed the crowd well even on 1st day of the year. So may be on the regular day service and food could have been better. Beauty is great. CCTV is everywhere which is great.

Visited the resort with family and friends..booked before the Visit..the breakfast was placed outside in the lawn area in buffet system. The food was too bad..the Parathas served are hopeless, all are prepared much earlier and served cold. The food served area is dirty ,full of flies. The lunch was also prepared much earlier and served cold ..so taste less. The behavior of the manager and the owner is very rude..people go for recreation on payment..but their behavior is such that they are giving the opportunity in free..where as nothing was free. Even a small tent in the sandy bank of brahmaputra cost 1000 if availed.. The bamboo bridge kept in the resort premises were in dangerous condition as they were not repaired for long. Overall the visit was not a pleasure trip.

Beautiful location but poor service. Staff coordination isn’t good, and the food quality and quantity don’t match the price. Only the view makes it worth a visit.

A nice resort in Chanaka with some good sitting areas for couples & families. Parking is available. The Brahmaputra river runs in front of the resort across the narrow road. Food is good and not very expensive. Cottages available for stay.
