We had a wonderful stay at Rathnamouli Palace. The receptionist Ms. Richika was very charming and kind. She handled her duty with great care and professionalism. Whenever we asked for any help, she immediately sorted it out with a smile. Her hospitality made our stay even more comfortable and memorable. Truly appreciate her support. Thank you, Richika!

Excellent Experience – RUINED by Manager (??) on duty We checked into this hotel on 24th Jan and up until 25th Jan 10 P.M. we were determined to write a 5 star review for the hotel considering excellent rooms, very good food and hospitality. But then the way things unfolded, it left us with a bitter taste. We were on 5th Floor and suddenly at around 10.15 P.M. loud music started hitting the room. It was just not possible to sleep / rest at all with almost everything vibrating. On enquiring at the reception over phone, we were told that there is a private party above and it will go on till at least 11.30 P.M. This was just too much to tolerate and we decided to visit the reception in person for potential solution especially since we had to leave early next day to take the flight. The reception staff said he is unable to do much but was exploring options to change the room. Of course he needed approval from his manager available then, so he called upon Mr. Rupam Paul (as the name was told to us ). When we communicated our displeasure to the manager, instead of pacifying he started justifying and told us following , 1. Hotel has already committed to the private party for loud music and cannot ask them to stop. 2. No one else on the floor has complained etc. When we enquired, if the party was already scheduled, why we were allotted such rooms which would get impacted by the noise, he had no explanation and reiterated that no one has problem with loud music and anyways this will get over by 11.30 P.M. He didn’t even bother to apologise for the situation and was firm on justifying the private party with loud music irrespective of the inconvenience it caused us and may be to others as well ( who might not have voiced the same ). Finally, very reluctantly he agreed to change the room and we had to rush back to pack everything and move to other room for just few hours. I would urge the management to take firm steps to train such staff with basics of hospitability and management of guest experience / grievance redressal. To reiterate, except for this unacceptable experience , we did enjoy our stay here and everyone else was courteous and friendly enough. ( Even the reception staff – not the manager , made it a point to apologise in the morning during check out for the inconvenience previous night ). (Having no response from the hotel on the email sent to them detailing the above, we are posting this review over here.)

We recently hosted our ring ceremony at Ratnamouli Palace and were thoroughly impressed with the service and facilities. The event coordinator, Bitupan Chetia, was very helpful, polite and accommodating.||The food was delicious, and the presentation was top-notch. The decor and ambiance were beautiful, fitting perfectly with out theme. ||We appreciate the efforts taken by the staff to make our special day memorable. This was a very good stay at this hotel. Very courteous staff and very good service. The food was very very good. We tried their non veg gravies & italian it was amazing. The breakfast spread was nice n delicious. I never had such tasty parathas & puri bhaji special in a buffet spread. If you are visiting Guwahati, this is a must stay hotel.

I had a great stay at this hotel. Rooms and washrooms are very neat and clean. The location was perfect for me as its closer to high way, and makes it an easy spot when you are on a road trip. Kamesh and Dali were at the reception and were very professional and attended to our needs. |I will recommend this stay.

We had a family wedding so got to stay in the place for 3 nights. Their staff including the restaurant and room service were super friendly and accommodating to our needs. Having traveled from the US we were super jet lagged but they ensured we were provided with everything, like customized food for our two year old toddler even at odd hours (4 am ! ). This made our overall experience very comfortable. The view of the Meghalaya hills from our rooms or the terrace were great. They also have an excellent Ayurvedic spa and salon downstairs with great friendly staff and options to relax from a hectic schedule. Definitely give it a try if you are in the city with kids and looking for a place to stay.
