Ogha the Taste of roots

Pathetic! Highly pathetic customer service! I along with my family visited the place yesterday on November 1, 2025. Ordered 3 veg thalis, one fish fry and two kheers. Firstly, while we were seated, no one came to clean the table for us for atleast 15-20 minutes, while we waited patiently. Then we asked one of the waiters for the menu, he came and we gave our orders. The veg thalis were given to us, but my father's fish fry never came. My mother and I asked for some dal, sabzi and papad, but the guy who was supposed to bring it was roaming around charging his phone and talking with the other staff members. The kheer which was provided to us was totally unedible even for dogs. My parents had arrived at Guwahati for some work and I took them to this restaurant hoping to provide them a good meal before their bus at 7pm from ISBT. But overall totally disappointed with everything and everyone there. We complained to the guy at the reception about it, and he himself acknowledged the unprofessionalism as well. Never ever go to Ogha you will be really disappointed. Maybe in the future, they will improve, but for my family and me, the experience was horrible and really ugly. Attaching the video of the kheer provided to us for people to see and decide. Also, want to mention another fact. The guys clean the tables first with their bare hands and then serve food with those very hands without washing them.

I ordered for lunch, they have options like mutton, chicken and fish with a veg combo like two sabzi, dal, saag, salad etc. but the problem is the food. I ordered for a veg combo plus a mutton homely style. Every item on the veg combo were too salty to eat. Coming to the mutton, whatever they served, for sure it was not mutton homely style. Moreover amongst 6 pieces they served, 4 pieces were just skin of mutton. The bill was ₹ 670. I wish they serve better food. Instead of investing on food bloggers, invest in the kitchen and good cooks to serve better food. The service regarding staffs is okay, but their washrooms and washing areas didn’t have water. I am never visiting this place again. One last thing for the owner, “you may fool one person at one time, some persons at some times, but you cannot fool all persons at all times”.

It was a horrible experience in terms of food and service. Old refrigerated chicken wings were served for drums of heaven where smell and taste both was disgusting. No items available that is written in the menu. Service was also not good, staff doesn't know what is available in the kitchen and what is not.

Visited this rainy Sunday after a long trip from nearby location visits. Loved the hygiene, staff behaviour, sitting arrangements and vibe . Food was okay, can be better and surely must try.

We were group of 7 visited the restaurant for celebrating our friends birthday,it has taken more than 2 hours to recieve our main course order and 1 hour to receive our starter order..whereas there were only 2 table where people were there.The restaurant need to reduce its menu,if it cannot provide the service in a reasonable time.

It was worst!!! I ordered paneer pakoda and hakka noodles and in drinks cold coffee Paneer pakoda omg it was smelling worst nd in taste paneer was stale and hakka noodles dude it was so so overcooked no salt nd nothing can be tasted...it was tasting like boiled semolina so so disappointed Even rating 1 star feels so much this resturant Don't deserve 1 rating also

I loved the taste of the food. One of the best Assamese thali in Guwahati. I tried their home style mutton and chicken pitika with Assamese thali. The best part is, they provided my warm water as i was suffering from throat infection. The ambience is outstanding. Please maintain this taste, ambience and the hygiene ..

Their service is absolutely horrible. We waited for almost an hour for basic assamese thali .The waiters and the receptionist have zero professionalism . Never visiting again , it was such a waste of time. And I would I suggest them to work more on giving people proper service and food rather than making the resturant look more asthetic .
