๐Ÿ›• 3 Jhandi Mandir, Guwahati โ€“ Peaceful Hilltop Temple with a View ๐ŸŒ„๐Ÿ™ ๐Ÿ“ Location: Sathgaon, Guwahati ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ Timings: 6:00 AM โ€“ 7:00 PM ๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Entry Fee: None (Free Entry ๐Ÿ†“) ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™‚๏ธ Trek Time: 15โ€“20 minutes uphill ๐Ÿ“ธ Photography: Allowed outside, prohibited inside temple ๐Ÿšซ ๐ŸŒฟ Temple Atmosphere: Very peaceful and spiritual place on a hilltop, known for the three flags ("jhandi") that give it its name. The view of Guwahati city from the top is amazing ๐Ÿ˜ and the temple has a pure, calming vibe. ๐Ÿฅต Trekking Caution: The climb is short but can feel tough for some. Not suitable for people with breathing issues or elderly visitors. Comfortable shoes and water are must-haves! ๐ŸŒง๏ธ Monsoon Season Warning: In rainy season, the trail becomes slippery and water flow nearby can be dangerously high. Avoid during heavy rains for safety ๐ŸŒง๏ธโš ๏ธ ๐Ÿงน Cleanliness & Facilities: No shops or public washrooms at the top. Carry water, be mindful of your waste, and keep the area clean ๐Ÿšฏ ๐Ÿ™ Rituals & Belief: Locals tie threads near the jhandis to make wishes. Itโ€™s a place for quiet prayer and peaceful momentsโ€”not a crowded tourist spot. โœจ Tips Before You Go: โœ… Best time to visit: Morning or just before sunset ๐ŸŒ… โœ… Avoid visiting alone or too late โ€“ it's a forested, quiet area โœ… Respect the rules: no photos inside temple ๐Ÿ™ ๐ŸŒŸ Final Thoughts: A hidden gem in Guwahati โ€“ perfect for spiritual peace and scenic beauty. Ideal for those who enjoy small treks and quiet vibes.

Reaching the Temple through the forest was a story to tell. The view from above was another exquisite feeling of Peace. The temple offers incredible views of the city with a nice sitting area and if you wish to explore more, there's a rock shaped like a Cobra. Really worth the tiredness!

The view worth after climbing . It was a short trek of nearly 1.2km from main road but it is very steep climb . Bikes and car can reach till top then have to climb few steps . Go for sunset . And if you're going by trek from bottom take some water ๐Ÿ˜‰. Best view . Keep it clean :)

A mini hike inside the city, await from the hoi polloi. Go up the road on Sankarpur side and descend the other way from the Birubari masjid side. That makes the feel truly memorable.

Lovely peaceful place. Very difficult to get there though. Need to climb hill and about 300 stairs. Once you get there you can have a bird 's eye view of Guwahati city...

Awesome place and best viewpoint for Guwahati city, though road and infrastructure is not well developed.
