The Maroon Room

The atmosphere there is truly amazing. If you go at the right time, the place becomes very lively with live bands performing, and they even invite guests to join in and sing karaoke, which makes the whole experience super fun and interactive. The aesthetic décor is high-end and beautifully done, giving the place a premium vibe. The food quality was good, the ingredients tasted fresh and everything was well-prepared. However, I did feel that the quantity was a bit less compared to the price. Overall, it’s a great place to visit if you’re looking for a vibrant ambiance, good food, and an energetic evening out in Guwahati.

The Maroon Room is the one of the best, or perhaps the best, eateries in Guwahati offering a pan asian cuisine. Right from the Asian themed wall and decors to the hospitality, everything about this place brings out an authentic experience. In my yesterday's visit, we tried out the Belgian pork ribs and the Dynamite prawns as starters. For the main course, we went for the highlight of this place—the Signature Hot Pot (Non Veg). The staff were very assistive and constantly around to help with the hot pot. We thoroughly enjoyed the place, the experience, the food and the live music. I highly recommend this place for any serious connoisseur of Asian culture.

Very beautiful interior. Just loved the whole ambience of the place. Shoutout to the staff as well. Very well mannered and polite. The food was good too and not over priced for a place that looks very luxurious. We ordered Chili Chicken and chicken dumplings. Both were delicious and the sauce was very tasty. Overall a great experience. It is family friendly too.

I recently had dinner with my family here, and it was a lovely experience overall. The place is beautifully styled with an Asian-inspired interior that immediately sets a warm, sophisticated tone. The ambience is one of the strongest highlights; calm, elegant, and perfect for a relaxed evening. We ordered a spread of dishes including Korean chicken wings, spicy chicken katsu sushi, salmon katsu sushi, and pork ribs, along with a bucket of 5 beers. Korean Chicken Wings: The flavour was great, but the sauce made the wings a bit soggy, taking away the crunch we were expecting. Salmon Katsu Sushi: Well made, fresh, and enjoyable. Spicy Chicken Katsu Sushi: The flavours were good, but the texture was a bit dry. Pork Ribs: One of the best dishes of the night—tender, well-seasoned, and beautifully complemented by broccoli and asparagus. However, the asparagus wasn’t properly cleaned, and the outer layer on the stem was dry and chewy. The staff were attentive, polite, and made the experience smooth and comfortable. Overall, The Maroon Room offers a wonderful ambience, good food, and great service. 100% for effort, but there’s still room for improvement—mainly in consistency and attention to detail with certain dishes. Still, it’s a place worth visiting for a pleasant dining experience.

This was an absolute amazing find in Guwahati. When my dining partners suggested drinks and dinner, seriously did not expect to find such a high end fine dine bar. The food are interesting, tasty and in line with how the place looks. Selection of cocktails are not bad as well with some interesting local creations. For those that are tired of street dining or local food, this is a definite must try and an overall great place to chill and unwind.

We had a lovely time. The food and ambience was perfect and the service was quite good. The tuna sushi with butterfly pea rice roll was lovely. The tuna was fresh and sushi was perfectly balanced. We also had the salmon sashimi and it was quite nice. The crab tempura was also nicely cooked albeit a bit oily. The crunch was nice and the crab was fresh. The smoked uncle tam cocktail was a 10/10. The staff were all courteous and professional. Special mention to Onyx.

Visited the Maroon Room and absolutely loved the vibe. The ambience is warm, modern and perfect for a relaxed evening out. The food was delicious. Overall, it's one of those places you would want to keep coming back either for a date, a chill evening with friends, or just some good food in a cozy atmosphere.

The food was above average the ambience is grand with occasional live music and all, like you wouldn't expect such a place to be in guwahati. The service is okish. Waiters don't go out of the way to or anything. I ordered ramen and sushi, sushi was ok The ramen had few undercooked vegetables in it but nothing outlandishly bad.
