Burha Jame Masjid in Ambari, Guwahati, stands as a significant religious and architectural landmark. This historic mosque, dating back several centuries, is renowned for its beautiful Mughal-inspired design, featuring intricate carvings and elegant arches that reflect the rich Islamic heritage of the region. The peaceful and spiritual atmosphere inside the mosque offers a serene escape from the bustling city life. The mosque is not only a place of worship but also a cultural center where people come together for prayers, religious events, and community gatherings. The well-maintained premises and the mosque's welcoming environment make it a pleasant experience for both worshippers and visitors. The surrounding area, with its vibrant local markets and eateries, adds to the charm of the location. While the mosque has basic amenities, it could benefit from enhanced visitor facilities to cater to the growing number of tourists interested in exploring Guwahati's cultural heritage. Overall, Burha Jame Masjid is a must-visit for those seeking to immerse themselves in the spiritual and historical essence of Assam.

Masjid is grand with beautiful architecture but there are some graves inside it and people were doing shirq with them.. Try to avoid praying in this masjid !!

I recently visited the Burha Jame Masjid and was thoroughly impressed by the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere. The moment I stepped inside, I felt a sense of calm wash over me. The interior was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated with traditional Islamic artwork. The prayer area was quiet and serene, and I was able to fully concentrate on my prayers without any distractions. The imam gave a thoughtful and informative sermon, and the community was friendly and welcoming. Overall, the Burha Jame Masjid is a fantastic place for anyone seeking a calm and spiritual environment for prayer and reflection. I highly recommend it to anyone in the area.

Seems to be the one of the oldest but renovated Masjids in Guwhati. I offered Taraweeh prayers of Ramadan and trust me Imam Sahab’s recitation was too fast to understand anything. The compound is too big to accommodate people, inside of the Masjid is installed with enough of AC and fans. There is no flooring at all. People pray on bare Marble floor.

Imagine stepping into a serene sanctuary, where tranquility envelops you from the moment you enter. This is the essence of the mosque I envision - a place where the physical and spiritual worlds seamlessly converge. As you approach the entrance, you're greeted by a gentle breeze carrying the scent of fresh flowers. Lush greenery surrounds the exterior, with vibrant blooms adorning the landscape, creating a tapestry of color and fragrance. The mosque's vast courtyard invites you to pause and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature before stepping inside. Upon entering, soft natural light filters through intricately designed windows, casting a warm glow across the prayer hall. The architecture is both elegant and inviting, with arched doorways and ornate details that reflect the rich heritage of Islamic art and design. Inside, the atmosphere is peaceful and welcoming. The spacious prayer hall provides ample room for worshippers to gather, with plush carpets underfoot offering comfort during prayers. The walls are adorned with verses from the Quran and intricate geometric patterns, creating a sense of reverence and contemplation. The ambiance is further enhanced by the gentle sound of flowing water from a central fountain, its soothing melody echoing throughout the space. As you find a quiet corner to pray or reflect, you're surrounded by the fragrance of incense and the soft rustle of leaves from nearby plants, heightening the sense of tranquility and spiritual connection. In this mosque, every element - from the abundance of flowers to the expansive layout and natural light - is carefully curated to create an atmosphere of serenity and reverence. It is a place where the beauty of nature and the spirit of worship converge, inviting all who enter to find peace and solace within its walls.
