My father had undergone TURP surgery performed by Dr.Surajeet Hazarika. Following this, he had post operative complication of hematuria for which the doctor discharged him saying that the problem would be solved after a few days. There was continuous hematuria for almost half a month and during this time the doctor prescribed him laxatives to loosen his stool excretion and even did multiple irrigations. All this but not a single check up of sodium and potassium levels. This medical negligence led to severe hyponatremia and hypokalemia of my father who IS NO LONGER WITH US.
