We are so thankful especially to Dr Joy and his team for taking personal care to my elderly mother who underwent VVF Correction surgery. Dr Joy addressed our concern From the moment we walk-in the door until we leave and took the time to explain every step of my mother’s treatment plan clearly. My father recently consulted this doctor, and unfortunately, the experience was unsatisfactory. During the consultation, when we sought clarification regarding his diagnosis and treatment plan, the responses were dismissive. At one point, the doctor remarked, “Don’t try to be a doctor. During the consultation I felt that the doctor assumed my questions were an attempt to test his knowledge rather than genuine concern for understanding the condition. Seeking clarification should not be perceived as a challenge. The dismissive tone made the interaction uncomfortable and disappointing. Such a statement is inappropriate in a clinical setting, especially when family members are seeking clarity about a loved one’s health. I am a doctor myself, though I did not disclose this during the visit, as respectful communication and clear explanations should be extended to every patient and attendant, regardless of background. Additionally, multiple investigations were advised despite having been performed just two days prior, without adequate explanation for repetition. Professionalism, transparency, and patient-centered communication are fundamental to good medical practice. Unfortunately, this consultation did not reflect those standards.

We are deeply grateful to Dr. Joy for his exceptional care and expertise during my mother’s treatment. She underwent a right radical nephrectomy under his guidance, and from the very first consultation to the post-surgery follow-ups, he has been patient, reassuring, and highly professional. What we appreciated most was how he took the time to explain every step of the process, answered our questions with clarity, and helped us stay calm during a very stressful time for our family. His surgical skill, along with his compassionate approach, has given my mother a new chance at health. Recently visited Guwahati Urology Centre with a friend and had a very good experience. The doctor was professional, friendly, and very attentive. The clinic staff were also very welcoming. A special thanks to the receptionist for being so polite, helpful, and managing everything so smoothly. Really impressed with their service and hospitality.

What concerned me most was the repeated referrals to different diagnostic centers for similar tests, including USG, without any clear reason for changing laboratories. This created confusion and made me feel that cost-effectiveness and patient convenience were not being prioritized. As a patient, I expect transparency, clarity, and a genuine concern for my health rather than an endless cycle of tests. Healthcare should be about trust and ethical treatment, not just expensive procedures. I strongly advise patients to seek a second opinion before proceeding with multiple investigations here. Recently my wife has been treated by Dr. Chakraborty. In the first day itself, he correctly diagnosed and subsequently given remedies. In this regard I have to point out that previously we have consulted with so called famous eurologi sts of the city but none could not able to dignose the actual problem. We wholeheartedly thankful to him for his timely advice. In my opinion he is skill full and thoroughly expert in his service.

I visited this centre after seeing the review. They are really helpful and compassionate. Avoid excessive tests and write minimum medicines, rather the doctor takes more time in counseling me properly. The approach is unique and commendable.
