Guwahati-Tura Taxi Stand

Not sure why the bad reviews but I had an excellent experience with Sapna Travels. They provide extremely nice, clean and spacious Xylo as a share taxi to travel from Guwahati to Tura that costs only Rs 650 (alternative is a 5000 Rs private cab!). Extremely convenient given that there is not a very good connectivity between the two city. You can book them in advance by calling and they have different stops- I was picked from right outside the airport - pick up point is 20 minutes walking from outside the airport. One of the cab leaves at 1:30 pm and other in the morning.

One can avail a seat in shared Xylo or Traveller for Tura, the second largest city of Meghalaya from here. Generally twice daily, morning service at 6:30 am and an afternoon one at 1:30 pm. One can book seats previously over the phone too. The traveller service is not available on Sunday.

It is very unorganised and unhygienic. Counter staff is very casual. Purely business oriented, not at all customer centric. Not at all punctual, always delayed than the scheduled time. However, condition of the vehicle is great. Mahindra Xylo with AC and drivers are good.

Only place to find shared taxi for tura. 7 seater xylo and 10 seater sumo and traveller services available. Time of departure morning 6 am and 1.30 pm xylo rate is rs 500 and 400 for traveller

Where you can get tourist taxi to Tura the capital of Garo Hills Meghalaya departure time is 6:30 AM and 1:30 Pm.

Nice stand you can get taxi for Tikrigila,Chibinang,phulbari,shigimari road taxi in day time 10 to 1pm

We found a good hotel Nirvana over here .. even the kamakhya temple is very nearby
