State Gallery of Art working with prime objective of promoting Art & Culture and showcasing the best of it, the State Gallery of Art has been a best place to see the local arts. It has got 9 Galleries, one Auditorium, one Conference Room, 6 Guest rooms for incoming artists and hectares of parking. Being a state-owned gallery with loads of space, State Gallery of Art has been a preferred destination for national and international exhibitions hosted by Governments interesting in promoting their own native art works such shows. The Gallery is also involved in conducting Art camps, Sculpture camps and conducting Annual Exhibition by providing space in the gallery for free for promoting upcoming artists.

The State Gallery of Art has been organising many annual events like Art Mela on its anniversary i.e., 26 th January every year, Ganesha Painting Exhibition, Telangana formation Day Celebrations, International Women’s Day Celebrations, Bathukamma Floral Festival in which all famous and upcoming talented artists will participate and Indian Photography Festival, Krishnakrith Festival and many more are organised annually.

A wonderful art gallery under Ministry of culture, Govt of Assam. Exhibitions of Art, Photography and Sculpture are held here. Parking space available, though bit crowded during programmes since adjacent to the Rabindra Bhawan, the famous cultural auditorium of Guwahati. Individuals or groups can display their exhibits in the gallery through advance booking.
