METTA

Wanted to try out Metta's Korean BBQ for the longest time and I finally got the chance today. Well, it was quite a pleasant experience. The place has a rustic, cozy vibe. There is an outdoor area which is beautifully decorated with flowers. The Korean BBQ was pretty good. The pork was delicious and it was a nice experience cooking it ourselves. There were several accompaniments, all of which were tasty. The pickled radish and beans especially left a mark on our tastebuds. However, I have to say that the amount of meat was somewhat less for two people, as stated in many other reviews. Just a little more meat would help. We also had their Butter Garlic Prawns, which came with mashed potatoes and potato wedges. The mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious. The potato wedges were nice and crispy. However, the prawns themselves were a little bland. But they were pretty creamy. Overall, the dish was not bad. Service was pretty good. Our food arrived on time and all our needs were met promptly by the staff. They recently launched their brand new ramen selection, something that I'll definitely try out in the future!

The Korean BBQ experience was great and the ambience of the place is very refreshing. The balcony would make you feel like you're in a different town like Shillong. Personally I thoroughly enjoyed the food but judging by the price it was not filling.

The presentation, atmosphere and vibes, service, and taste - Everything was delightful. We had the Xiao Long Bao, the Ramen, one of their Pizaas, and the Chicken & Pork BBQ. The taste was just perfect for the cloudy weather. My absolute favorite was the ramen. The noodles might've been homemade which is always a plus. The downside? It's an EXPENSIVE place. It's great for an experience, if you're in Guwahati at least visit here once. However, for a fuller stomach there are a few alternative Korean places which have similar taste but are around half the price.

This is my absolute favourite place, I love everything about here! Since Ghy doesn’t have any place which gives us the Korean bbq experience at the moment , Metta is doing quite a good job. I’ve never had a bad experience regarding anything with this place and will keep going in the near future! Also their xao long bao, must try! 10/10 experience.

We had the Korean BBQ, xiao long bao and skewered prawns. The pork was marinated well and the experience of grilling our own meat was quite good. The xiao long bao was a disappointment as the dumplings were undercooked. The wrapping was too thick and was not cooked perfectly. The skewered prawns were cooked nicely and we liked the flavour. The pita that came with it was a bit too thick though and some of the prawns weren't peeled properly. Overall i would say the BBQ experience was good and I would recommend that. Their mulled wine was also nice However the biggest disappointment was their refusal to serve us regular water which is a crime. We were forced to pay for bottled water. This is illegal and I will be looking to lodge a complaint against them.

The ambience is great, but korean barbeque is 799 rupees, we ordered two plates, it is so over priced, not even 100 gms of chicken they give, also they can't even refill lettuce more than once. Is lettuce so costly? It is extremely overpriced, and in Guwahati all over the korean cuisine is overpriced for no reason, maybe because of kpop culture. The food was okay but not at all worth the price. The food taste is around 3 star but the quantity is 1 star. Also barbeque nation lets you refill prawns as many times as you want but this metta don't even let you have kidney beans more than twice.

It’s a nice place. You could spend a few hours here. The food is good but it’s not filling. So choose wisely. The grilled chicken fillet was good. The shredded pork burger was good too. The Korean bbq could be worked on for the price charged.

I have never expected that this place would be better than my expectation. The menu had a lot of options and we were a little puzzled out with what to order but we had the best dinner ever. I recommend you day time with menu and get your orders right. The best part about the location was the view and there outside area . Best to visit is for dinner. The only problem that I have is the toilet is unhygienic and it smells do something about it.
