Sangai Manipuri Rice Hotel

Tried Manipuri food for the first time. Had a problematic stomach the next day, but that's subjective. However it was not that the food was bad, it was good. Maybe because the ingredients were new to my stomach hence the problem 😁 Apart from that, I feel the price is on the greater side and not worth it.

Worst experience! I rarely write reviews, but this one is an exception. The curry was served cold, the pork was nothing but fat in curry, and as for the duck—just forget about it. There was absolutely no authenticity in the food, and the portions were extremely small. When we asked for a little more curry, we were told that there was none left. To make matters worse, the prices are very, very high. And after all this, there wasn’t even washing soap available!!! For the Meiteis out there looking for a place to satisfy authentic taste buds—“punc gi changuranu.”

(Regarding the taste of food it was outstanding. Very neat and hygienic too) Personal inconvenience I experienced: 1. Menu was not given at first. We were shown the real cuisine display instead. 2. After having food only did I realised UPI payment option was not there. Had to keep my friend while I went for searching ATM nearby. 3. Less personal contact. Thanks carry cash

Well maintained place..usually crowded. Open from 630in morning till 930night. You can choose side dishes of pork chicken crab and all along with thali costing 120. Reasonable and enough for a person who is looking out for pocket friendly shop.

Went there recently to have an authentic manipuri thali. I asked for a Pork thali and Chicken liver thali. As they didn't have any written menu, we didn't know the exactly price. As they were displaying their meat in the table, we choose based on that thinking it will come with rice and all ( like how they normally gave in a Naga Restaurant). While waiting for our order, I literally saw them taking the chicken liver plate from their display, which was way too unhygienic. The place was already unhygiene and not welcoming, plus the way the staff behave. For just this two thali, I was charged 1220 with 1 litre of water bottle, which was way too much. While paying the bill they told us that the meat and thali came separate, if you really want to hype up your price then you should have a proper menu like the Naga Kitchen. It was not worth it. Very Unprofessional Staff.

One of the best hotel in Guwahati. This is Manipuri hotel and dishes are authentic style. Thaali is the best option and more than 10 dish they serve. Veg option is available but limited. Food is very spicy. Must visit place.

Food was good. The presentation of food was good in clay pots. But it would have been great if the price was reasonable. Felt way to expensive. And no parking, no upi. If you want to go for one time then would say it's ok. But frequently, then choose some other restaurant.
