DTO, Barpeta

If you personally visit for vehicle registration or driving license they don't demand for bribe. But the DTO is the most very unprofessional employee who most of the time comes at office after 12pm or remain absent.

First The DTO Barpeta has not any Toilet and Urinal. There is urinal inside and no facility is given outside also. People urinate infront of DTO in the lake and Women face a lot of problems as They has to travel to nearby hotels and restaurants for toilets and urinals. The lake has become a garbage dump.

Easily accessible. It's located off-site from the town. The area is cool and pleasant. The staff members are not friendly and won't respond to what you are saying. Or they might respond in an annoyed tone(not everyone). They were not much helpful either. I would prefer avoiding this place if possible; but yeah, all the govt houses are same. I hope they improve soon when everything is done digitally.

Facility of Online payment of Challan is not there at Barpeta DTO. If you receive e-challan, you must visit DTO for disposing of this challan. Very hectic and cumbersome job in todays busy schedule. Either e-challan shall be stopped or online payment facility shall be started. If DTO is listening, he should act on priority.

Building is spacious but in most of the part found broken that not found quality construction. Computer with the help of NIC introduced . But core in the system not introduced. Staff are a little bit of helpful mainly for local people but people from out skirt of town if visited for for their official purpose not so much of helpful.

A office full of corruption. You can't get anything here without giving there preferable bribe. No matter you can drive vehicle or not, if you paid them you will get any kind of license from them. Online process is very good, but when you see i real they won't accept any online application. They only give next date untill and unless you give them bribe

Good office for useful purpose regarding registration of vehicles, issue of driving licence and renew ,road permit etc. The atmosphere of office is encouraging. This is a very busy office due tremendous works to be performed successfully.
