GST bhawan, Machhkhowa, Guwahati is the headquarters of CGST and Customs formations for the entire North-East India headed by the Chief Commissioner of CGST & CX and Customs. It is the headquarters of Guwahati CGST Commissionerate, Appeal Commissionerate and Audit Commissionerate. There is one guest house named "Majuli Guest House" for the departmental officers.

Government office. The building is 3 stories and doesn't have reception at. It seems all the people are in some hurry and no body have any information about what is going on there. The hallways are clean although it is a government office. It is hard to find a department there because there is no a proper reception available. You need to search properly. It is a government office for GST which is Goods and Service Tax.

Excellent, it is the commissionerate of customs and central excise for the states of Assam, Meghalaya , Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland ,Tripura and Mizoram, all the tax related issues are settled here, further the accounts branch also looks after the claims and disbursement of pensioners including family pensioners.
