A pro tip for customers- It is well known that finishings in hand woven silk cloth will be less as compared to machine made. You will see threads lying in the cloth. That is the genuine product woven in Sualkuchi. Whereas factory made products could be very fine and finishing would be perfect. Designs will be delicate. My in hand feel could understand that. Also bargaining would be very less. I was said a price of 11500 but was ready to give in 7500. Any real silk woven cloth would not be given so much discount. Was about to have a loss of 7.5k. But rescued. Be careful buyers.

Saulkuchi is a small village in Assam but world famous area because the Handloom Sarees are Named by MOGA SILK cloth. These cloth weaving by Handloom and entire population of the area is covered by weavers. Once upon a time thia place doesn't to not only outsiders but also to the local people. The community of this people are may 60 to 70 percent of weavers. At present this area is well developed and I came here for my Business purpose and I will stay here for 15 days. The RASA POORNIMA is very very famous and large number of crowd will come to celebrate the festival

This shop has huge collection of mekhla-chador, sari, gamochha, etc. I felt the quality of the products is also good. But was not sure about their pricing.
