During Durga Puja, Geeta Mandir and the surrounding Geetanagar area come alive with vibrant celebrations and beautifully decorated pandals, drawing people from all over the city. Visiting the temple during this festive season was a wonderful experience—the joyful atmosphere, cultural performances, and the spirit of community truly made the occasion special. The festivities highlight the cultural richness of the locality and offer an unforgettable glimpse into Guwahati’s traditional celebrations.

It's closed. Tuesday. 10:15 am. December 30th. The priest just came and opened the doors. Divine intervention.

Nice environment and very peaceful. You climb up the hill and all the noise from the road just cuts out. Good place for darshan as well. You can also sit inside the temple for a while and really immerse yourself in devotion.

A nice and quiet place. Unlike some other more well known temples in the city, this one is still relatively free from the tourist invasion! There are a lot of trees and during the summer it's a very cool place thanks to its location on a hill.
