Guwahati River Cruise

Been to Guwahati a lot many times but trying the cruise for the first time on 24 Feb 26. I along with one of my friends booked the ticket for 6 pm cruise. There were hardly 20 visitors and mosquitoes in a swarm dint let is sit on the deck. Loud Bollywood music was played, the cruise hardly moved around 500 metres crossing the newly constructed Kumar Bhaskar Varma Setu, halted there for about 30 minutes and came back. It was totally one hour of timeless and 600 rupees money loss. 100 Rs worth ropeway ride and 5 rupees boat ride give better views of the river n its banks . And when I asked to meet the manager to give a feedback,I was told the manager was not in his office. Total waste of time and money. Needs better administration and management.

The jetty is not properly built, there is one small sign board which is difficult to notice. Price- Upper Deck- 750 rs, Lower deck-600 rs, With dinner-1700 rs, Only Music no dance arranged, towards the end some people go for dancing out of their own interest, around 45 minutes tour, Just ok- a different experience, price is high.

A very costly cruise service, not worth, Rs. 750 per person ??? & after Sun set you will have to fight with lot of mosquitoes around when you are waiting for cruise on Bhramaputra ghat, which is at present in development. & by mistake don't prefer to seat on roof top. Waste of money & time also.

Not worth the charges. 750 per head and they don't even provide a welcome drink. You can order food and drink on deck. I took the sunset cruise and after half an hour there were mosquitoes all over. Everyone started moving to the lower deck. Not a great experience. I found it a waste of money.

Must visit

The scenic beauty was captivating , we did not board the cruise as it was too expensive ₹ 700 per person.

Beautiful ferry service. Cruise travel. 500₹ half an hour tour in river Brahmaputra. Cruise has disco n restaurant service too. Good to travel.
