Lachit Ghat, situated on the banks of the majestic Brahmaputra River in Guwahati, is a significant historical site and a popular tourist spot. Named after Lachit Borphukan, a revered general of the Ahom kingdom, this ghat offers stunning views of the river and commemorates his valor in the Battle of Saraighat. Visitors can enjoy the serene beauty of the Brahmaputra and witness breathtaking sunsets.

Very good place to see sunrise and sunset. But the river Bank is too dirty. Maintenance and cleanliness should done. Otherwise everything is nice about this place. The view, the clean water and everything is nice. Umananda temple is very near to this ghat.

It was really a nice place till few years back where one can park their vehicles and chill on the bank of the river Brahmaputra. However due to the construction and traffic, it has lost its charm. But still you can come and have a view of the statue of Vir Lachit and the mighty Brahmaputra.

This is a statue built in Respect of Lachit Burphukan. He was a great warrior of the Ahom dynasty who fought bravely against the army of Aurangabad. This is a good place, the government should work on making the ghat and this place more beautiful for the tourists.

The bank was a peaceful and scenic place, with the calm waters flowing by and the sound of birds singing and flying around. The sun was starting to set, casting a beautiful golden glow over the scene, just like a painting of beautiful colors. Very peaceful atmosphere to sit on the river bank with a rather stunning natural beauty. Truly a special place of joy.

Just in one word it's Beautiful. The timings are just precise...yes it can be 10 min late but not more than that.they are just punctual compared to all those ferry ghat available in West Bengal. No doubt we just loved Assam a lot ... From these ferry ghat ,you can visit the umananda Island .it's a shiv ji temple located in the hill top in between the umananda Island .
