We had a 10-day trip covering Dibrugarh – Menchuka – Namsai – Dibrugarh, which was completely self-planned with family of 4 people. I finalized one of the well-known homestays in Menchuka and requested a driver reference from them. Since this was our first family trip to offbeat Arunachal Pradesh with challenging road conditions, I was very particular about both the vehicle type and the driver. Based on the homestay’s recommendation, we booked Mr. Champak Das. We specifically wanted someone who owned his own vehicle, and at the time of booking we insisted that only Mr. Champak himself should come for the trip. As agreed, he personally drove us throughout the tour. We had a wonderful experience during the entire journey. He has a 2-year-old Innova Crysta with turbo tyres, which is perfectly suited for the tough roads of Menchuka. He is a very careful driver and never exceeded 80–85 km/h, even on empty, straight stretches. He also accompanied us during the trek in Menchuka-La and was extremely helpful, especially while climbing down. Although Parashuram Kund was not part of our original itinerary, he included it without charging any additional cost. He also drove us via the Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Setu, which we had not considered during my planning. Mr. Champak has excellent photography, videography, and editing skills. For those who are not keen on shooting videos or carrying bulky cameras—especially while driving—you can rely on his filming, photography, and editing abilities. I am looking forward to another trip to Arunachal Pradesh with Champak and would highly recommend him.

Unforgettable Trip to Northeast India with Mr. Champak Das Being from Maharashtra, traveling to the Northeast initially felt a bit intimidating as it was an unknown place for us. We found Mr. Champak Das’s agency online and were surprised to see all the glowing reviews. Curious, we asked him about it—and after traveling with him, we realized every word was true! Mr. Champak is an exceptional driver with excellent skills, smoothly navigating the challenging mountain roads with ease and confidence. His punctuality, reliability, and friendly nature made us feel completely safe and comfortable throughout our journey. As an all-ladies group, this was especially important for us. He is truly a gem of a person—caring, trustworthy, and always ready to help with a smile. His love for good music added a special touch to our trip. On the last day, as our wonderful journey came to an end, I couldn't hold back my tears, but Mr. Champak played a beautiful song to lift my spirits—such a thoughtful gesture that we'll always remember. An extremely memorable trip to Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh with Mr. Champak Das. Right from the first interaction for inquiry, he was extremely professional, prompt and detailed in his responses. We had multiple conversations regarding the travel plan and he helped co-create the itinerary with his own suggestions regarding the schedule, places to visit and hotels as well. Never did he try to rush through the conversation, but kept discussing until all my queries were answered. His on-ground knowledge about these region is impeccable. He was there at the airport to receive us in a traditional way. We were accompanied to Meghalaya by his brother Mr. Sanjay Das as Champak had some last moment commitment. Sanjay displayed very similar qualities like his brother – knowledgeable, caring, polite, helpful, flexible. We visited Shillong, Cherrapunji, Dawki, Mawlynnong with him. We were then accompanied to Assam and Arunachal Pradesh by Champak Das. He got us good deals in Kaziranga National park for Elephant and Jeep Safari. Had a great time in both these rides. On our way to Arunachal, all formalities related to Inner Line Permits were promptly taken care of by him. He is a very skilled and safe driver in the hilly terrains like Dirang, Tawang etc. We had a great time with him at all these places especially at Sela Lake partly covered in snow. On the way back, I requested him to take us to Sangti Valley which he promptly did and took us to a very picturesque spot there. Champak is a great photographer as well. He gels well with people of all age groups due to his jovial and polite nature. We had conversations around a lot of topics while on the road. Customer delight is his motto and his passion for the work he does makes him a perfect choice for your trusted travel partner and guide in the north east. The Innova owned by him which was used during our entire travel is in a very good condition. If you're planning a trip to the Northeast, I highly recommend Mr. Champak Das (Krishnaguru Tours & Travels) for stress-free, enjoyable trip. My wife, 10-month-old baby girl and I toured Assam & Meghalaya in November of 2025. I had a memorable experience with Champak Das/ Akshay Das as our designated guide and driver. Akshay bhai is an extremely safe driver. 💯 He's interactive, humorous and keeps his car clean!! Akshay bhai knows the routes extremely well! We covered a lot of distance without getting stuck in traffic!👏 He took us to the best places for both Veg & Non-Veg food!! 😍 He was always helping us with our photos as well! And he clicks lovely pictures 👏 Never rushed us from any place which allowed us to enjoy the spots to the fullest!!
