Silkalay, Ganeshguri has good product variety, but prices are very high compared to other stores. Salesman behavior was not polite, which was disappointing. Parking is a big problem here, making it inconvenient for customers despite its central location.

It is an old shop in main GS Road, Ganeshguri, Guwahati spread over 3 floors. It is visible from main road but don't have parking. You will have to seek authorised parking elsewhere. It has different varieties of silk sarees, mekhla, kurta-pyjama etc. and other accessories. Staff is very cooperative and professional. You can pay by cash or by digital media. It is very popular store for its name and fame. Opens as per market times.

I would like to share my feedback regarding my recent visit to Silkalay. I received a very disappointing experience as the sales staff seemed completely uninterested in attending or showing the products properly. The service was extremely poor, and it left a very bad impression. I hope you take this feedback seriously and look into improving customer service, as such behavior can really affect the brand’s reputation.

My cousin brother has marriage tommorow. In 26th Nov His mother said the sellsman to send the Mekhela Chadhor in 1st December. They are even not sincere and in 1st December the sellsman said my cousin brother's relative took the Mekhela Chadhor. My cousin brother's relative was in Kolkata. They are very rude and not sincere, they even took 2 hours by excusing. When his mother called by his relative then the shopkeeper suddenly said wait I have the Mekhela Chadhor. In assamese language = MIYKI MANUHOK ABODRAMI KORIBO ULAISO HUH . YIAT TOHOTI BUSINESS KORIBO AHISO KYO HUH KUKUR SAALA

Nice collection of sarees and dress materials. But the staff should be more helpful as lot of tourists visit there and if staffs are not helpful.. Leaves a bad taste for the tourists.
